That was the most successive nukes I've ever seen in a single game.

Yeah, a finals should never be lower than Bo5, and Bo7 is the preferred for anything over 10k prize pool IMO

Xigua would've lost 0-4 anyways, better save himself and his country from the embarassment.

Why would his country be embarrassed?

That's the way it works when china is involved, ask them yourself.

Well I'm glad we have our TL expert on foreign affairs educating everyone.

I never claimed to be an expert, I simply have seen way too many times in both the wc3 and the DotA scene how touchy the chinese can get when their representatives lose in international events.
I like the part where sense is considered a common, settled thing.

Why not?

MVP isn't just the best player in the world, he's damn consistent. He either wins or places very highly in every tournament he enters. He's also been doing this for a year, across the world.

Not for us to decide though

Who actually decides it though?

The council does of course. The next scheduled meeting is the weekend of Jan 7.

It's up to the Korean netizens if I'm not mistaken.

Except I'm fairly certain SC2 is bigger outside Korea. The opposite was true for BW.

So TLizens get to decide bonjwas imo...and MVP most definitely is turning out to be one! We'll see after Blizzard cup.

Then it's never going to be since I'm pretty sure koreans never really gave a shit about the word. It's only the foreign community that puts it on a pedestal.

but seriously...there's no shame in losing to MVP as a zerg .. congrats to both players

As a Zerg? WTF. MVP TvT is better than his TvZ.

Didn't John the Translator say that bonjwa doesn't mean in Korean what the TL community means when they use it? I remember him saying once that bonjwa is just something a person says about themselves, as in "I am a good player".

I don't know for sure if his TvT is better than his TvZ considering he pretty much has the best TvT and TvZ at the same time. However, it seems like you know it for sure.

MVP should be peaking in BW had he not switched. It's reasonable to assume so with his improved game before the switch and qualifying for starleague

Does it really matter now? They don't seem to be switching any time soon. We will worry about that when it happens(if it happens). So far MVP is the best SC2 player in the world

He had to cancel the nuke outside the natural of the top right expansion because of the spine crawler there, I believe, due to an Overseer nearby.

YOU play against MVP and tell me how it goes

That's irrelevant. Anyone who ever argues with the "you couldn't do better" idea is always wrong on so many levels. Just because you aren't able to sing for instance, does that mean you can't critique music that sounds terrible?

Xigua played horribly (in both games) and was completely outplayed. MVP had no reason (unless the minimap was too blurry for me) to pull back from his triple bunker/triple seige tank push, he had the game won at the point. There were only ~9 lings across the side of the map and he already had 1 tank and a bunker at his expansion to defend. The amount of banes/lings Xigua used to try his 2nd attempt at busting the push would have died if MVP left his units at the Zerg natural.

Afterwards, MVP was really just toying with Xigua who couldn't handle his drop harass at all - why else would you bother to make 3 nukes (which requires that many academies) and 25+ cloaked ghosts? Fun game to watch but Xigua was nowhere close.

I agree. He should've/could've ended it, but decided to make a spectacle of poor Xingua in front of a packed Korean crowd. To me, it's kind of BM to pull back and wait to rape someone like he did, embarrassing him like a little child who knew no better. He was clearly not playing on MVP's level, and MVP should've had the courtesy to win gracefully like the champ he is.
