Why not? MVP isn't just the best player in the world, he's damn consistent. He either wins or places very highly in every tournament he enters. He's also been doing this for a year, across the world. Not for us to decide though Who actually decides it though? The council does of course. The next scheduled meeting is the weekend of Jan 7.
+1. MVP is by far my favorite Terran player, and Xigua has showed his solidity during this WCG, with winning all the games from the very beginning except for This two against MVP.
Xigua fighting!

Bonjwa came and died with savior..

Because he wasn't? Nestea and MC won just as much and look what's happened.
You are entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't mean it will have any more weight.

He was clearly not playing on MVP's level, and MVP should've had the courtesy to win gracefully like the champ he is. What kind of non-sense is that? I think MVP guessed that speed banes would come soon. Keeping rallies when you don't have the Zerg fully contained means a group of Zerglings can kill your reinforcements while they're on their way. And standing for too long without reinforcements in front of three larvae-injected hatches is not exactly a wise thing to do. Based on what he knew or assumed (he could not know that, for some reason, XiGua was not getting speed bane at once), his decision was the correct one. Nothing to do with “toying with his opponent” which is not really something you would do when there's so much at stake.

All game he killed 1 CC and like 1 drop ship lol. MVP was toying with him. YOU play against MVP and tell me how it goes That's irrelevant. Anyone who ever argues with the "you couldn't do better" idea is always wrong on so many levels. Just because you aren't able to sing for instance, does that mean you can't critique music that sounds terrible? Xigua played horribly (in both games) and was completely outplayed. MVP had no reason (unless the minimap was too blurry for me) to pull back from his triple bunker/triple seige tank push, he had the game won at the point. There were only ~9 lings across the side of the map and he already had 1 tank and a bunker at his expansion to defend. The amount of banes/lings Xigua used to try his 2nd attempt at busting the push would have died if MVP left his units at the Zerg natural. Afterwards, MVP was really just toying with Xigua who couldn't handle his drop harass at all - why else would you bother to make 3 nukes (which requires that many academies) and 25+ cloaked ghosts? Fun game to watch but Xigua was nowhere close. I agree. He should've/could've ended it, but decided to make a spectacle of poor Xingua in front of a packed Korean crowd. What? No. Not even close to true.
MVP knows that most Terrans would pursue this push, which is what Zergs aim for. They want Terrans to keep spending units and committing to the push. A lot of good zergs will get a BUNCH of lings/blings, wait for the perfect moment, and attack. Also, lings ran by and were ready to flank MVP.
Rather than over extend and cost himself the game, MVP backed off. When you're ahead, get more ahead.
He saw 2 steps ahead of a disastrous result, he didn't do it to embarrass his opponent.

You are entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't mean it will have any more weight. I'm not gonna argue about the word bonjwa, but MVP has consistently been winning throughout 2011 and has won a lot more tournaments and placed incredibly high far more often than MC or Nestea.

I remember when people were talking about ho wgood MKP/Fruitdealer was and the likes of the Makarax..IMMVP was heard to be switching over and he just started to dominate from the very beginning although he didnt manage to win the first GSL he played in.
He goes on to win the GSTL he wins Multiple GSL Then he goes onto to win MLG Anaheim in a dominate fashion Blizzcon? Nailbiter with his teammate Nestea but he won that. MLG Providence? Furthest terran by farr ranked and dominated everyone but losing to the eventual champion And now...he's won WCG - the legendary tournament where he's now a member of great players (Boxer, Flash, Stork), and their tradition of taking 1st place in the tournament and showing country pride...
MVP is a bonjwa.

Same time frame man.
Everyone's digging the flavor of the week. Give it more time and we'll see what happens.
Champions aren't born in such small time-frames.

The funniest thing is people complaining about snipe when MVP got 20+ ghosts....sorry you don`t get that many ghosts without being waaaay ahead and he was way ahead mid game.
|
So impressed with MVP. By far the most accomplished and dominating player of 2011. Remember that MC/Nestea both got 1 of their GSL titles in 2010 too.

MVP is a bonjwa. no this doesnt make a player a bonjwa. lets just stop talk about it dont be silly. bonjwa is a sacred title that you just dont give to the most successful player at the end of the year
|
I don't care about the word bonjwa. It's just a word. MVP's games speak for themselves. Even though he lost against Leenock this GSL, his game 1 and 2 and were a tremendous showing of skill. Best Terran easily. Also most consistent player this year.
