He may not be a b (yet) but he's the best player of 2011. There's no doubting that.

Now MVP has to play Blizz Cup in 24 hours.

I highly doubt he cares about the result of that. I think WCG was really important to him and the koreans

Of course he cares.. His obvious goal is to get as much as money/wins before the hand surgery/treatment. I agree with the rest though.

I'm just saying he probably prepared very little for that event compared to everyone else. His expression after he won this was probably the happiest he's looked after any title.

Screw Polt. Blizzard should give MVP 3 spots in the Blizzard Cup. Better yet just make it a tournament between the rest of the players and the winner gets to face MVP in the finals.

This is a good idea. That, or increase energy cost

Oh Jeez, you guys do know people wouldn't do this if you didn't make such a huge deal everytime someone says bonjwa right?

And we wouldn't have to do this if those other people hadn't started it in the first place :/

oh come now, MVP is obviously SC2's bonjwa. Stephano will be the next one. Why get upset over it? The inevitability of it all seems so transparent

He did well. I mean, he couldnt attack into the terran because his entire army would get sniped (Point proven by what xigua tried to do at the end) At the same time, his ultralisk army cant respond to cheap and effective drops being done all over the place. Do tell me what xigua could have done better. This guy won everyone else 2-0 all the way through. Why are you trying to make it sound like he's bad or something.

Yeah, a finals should never be lower than Bo5, and Bo7 is the preferred for anything over 10k prize pool IMO

Xigua would've lost 0-4 anyways, better save himself and his country from the embarassment.

Why would his country be embarrassed?

That's the way it works when china is involved, ask them yourself.
I like the part where sense is considered a common, settled thing.

YOU play against MVP and tell me how it goes

That's irrelevant. Anyone who ever argues with the "you couldn't do better" idea is always wrong on so many levels. Just because you aren't able to sing for instance, does that mean you can't critique music that sounds terrible?

Xigua played horribly (in both games) and was completely outplayed. MVP had no reason (unless the minimap was too blurry for me) to pull back from his triple bunker/triple seige tank push, he had the game won at the point. There were only ~9 lings across the side of the map and he already had 1 tank and a bunker at his expansion to defend. The amount of banes/lings Xigua used to try his 2nd attempt at busting the push would have died if MVP left his units at the Zerg natural.

Afterwards, MVP was really just toying with Xigua who couldn't handle his drop harass at all - why else would you bother to make 3 nukes (which requires that many academies) and 25+ cloaked ghosts? Fun game to watch but Xigua was nowhere close.

pretty clear that mvp could have ended the game a lot sooner if he had kept that bunker/tank contain at xigua's nat but he left for no good reason. probably just to prolong it to an entertaining game and humiliate xigua.

Wait for BW pro gamers to fully switch to SC2 and adapt, then throw the Bonjwa stuff.

That's why I consider him a top player.

He needs to be more dominant for longer and plus it's a different game. I would start using a different title if he manages to keep this up, but somehow I doubt that.

HotS and LotV will change the landscape and more players are coming into the fray.

Why would his country be embarrassed? Didn't realize 2nd place at WCG is an embarrassment now. Think of how Idra/Huk/MKP/Supernova must feel right now. They may as well commit seppoku.

china no like losing

EDIT: well. to be fair they really thought he had a good chance but i think those games showed a gulf in quality.

Why not?

MVP isn't just the best player in the world, he's damn consistent. He either wins or places very highly in every tournament he enters. He's also been doing this for a year, across the world.

Not for us to decide though

So who then? The Xel'Naga?

MVP is the best and most consistent player in the world, with the most big tournament wins and most prize money won in the world, for a year solid now.

His only losses have been close games in the semi-finals or finals.
