Xi Gua hasn't lose any single game so far in the tournament. btw he's been playing 80game on Korea BN in recent month and got on No.1 for many times.

I would say he is one of the top Europeans who has the least room for improvement left, apart from improving offline performance.

He is one that is already practicing very hard, although it could certainly be improved a little in a tea house.

Everyone here has such strong contradicting opinions.

Funny to read.

SuperNoVa is probably better than Taeja and Polt, at least as good as MKP, and probably a little under Ganzi.

well... what if every top nation would send their top3 players - wouldve been a lot harder for the koreans.

I mean: a lot of countries would look good if you enter their 3 big names in a mixed field of natinos from all over the world.
Again: not saying korea isnt by far the strongest sc2 nation...

MVP's TvP is terribad by his standards, but his TvT and TvZ are pretty hard to beat. I think Titan is the best candidate for taking out MVP if he makes it past XiGua, but it isn't impossible for Kas if he plays his best.

Chinese players are generally underrated because they dont appear in tournaments outside of china so we rarely see them, I agree that it is important to note how well they have done too

Playing on the Korean server alone is a huge advantage

Im happy for Kas showchasing how good he can be once.

Kind of proud as a European how the tournament went, you might say europe had the most participants, but most of them arent worth mentioning at all. Topplayers from each region are missing and europe does well. gj!

Top contenders all around were missing, but the chinese have been stomping more than the europeans overall.

Oh thats certainly true. Im still quite proud

And yeah, im kind of used to see China AND Korea in another world/league from wc3 back then, so it doesnt surprise me at all - especially when we see Sky/Infi/Fly/TH000 making the switch.

MacSed for example was a midlvl chinese human compared to the other chinese players... prolly rank 10 in china. and hes pretty damn good already

It depends on where the money goes after this WCG. If WC3 is not a WCG game beyond this year, then yes the whole structure would shifte in China. It also depends how XiGua does in Semis. Pj was never a big draw at home, let's see if the up and coming XiGua can draw.

If you think China won't hold a War3 tournament during the WCG (even if it's not an official WCG game next year) when the next two WCGs are held in China ... hahaha.

I'm think the Chinese WC 3 players will want revenge after losing two WCGs to Koreans. This is not normal for Chinese WC 3, though this year Lyn just barely edged it out.

Then again, WCG doesn't make decisions just based on where it's held, either, or else there'd be Dota in every WCG held in China.

Pride for the motherland, ftw. <3

I love China's enthusiasm for War3. Hopefully I'll get the chance to see a tournament live there in the future before it completely dies out.

Oh there's gonna be tourneys, big ones. The questions is how slow is the transition. It's gonna be exactly like DotA in the WCG nationals.

No fucking way

But the kind of national passion they demonstrate is why Koreans do so well in eSports. People elsewhere just don't get it.

Chinese fans are clearly more enthusiastic about WCG than Koreans. If Sky wins it in China, the place will go nuts.

He was talking about the casters. Here on TL, there is a tendency to hold casters to a certain standard of neutrality. I'm just pointing out that this standard isn't respected elsewhere.

Obviously fans are different. Fans will cheer for who they cheer for.

lol I have never seen fans at TL cry about caster's neutrality before when it was in favor of foreigners.

At least OGN casters admitted that they would be biased in favor of Koreans.

You must be new, welcome to the site.

What you said would makes some sense if you had few years on me. Nice try though.

It's so surprising how well the Chinese are doing. I swear, they're training in multi-billion dollar facilities in the shape of avian nests.
