And love to all the other players that participated! A friend of me visited me yesterday without noticing me first to get some books I borrowed from him, and he arrived 10 minutes before TSL started. He plays some games from time to time and played SC2 campaign, but did not even really know that progaming exists. I asked him to watch with me, and he did =) He really enjoyed it and stayed till the end, he could even feel the tension in games 6+7(well, you have to with such awesome casters :p ). While I missed the lr-thread with you guys, that was such a cool experience for me, it's hard to describe. Thank you for that TSL!

Loved Day[9]'s solo cast at the end, however unfortunate it may have appeared to be <3

NaNiwa was obviously more emotionally affected about this and I think Chill made the wrong move by not leaving the game at the first instance of lag. I understand that it was the finals and that the lag may be temporary (and may not be), but I put my standards of TL staff so high that I was very disappointed that Chill did not leave the game immediately. Whether it affected the game or not, I'm not sure, but it is certainly best to not have something like that be a possible excuse/reason/detractor from the match and series. It's not the players to make that call, but the referees, he obviously was waiting for the referee's ruling. Whoever made the call waited too long to do so with a tournament championship on the line. Is it Chill's fault for lagging? Maybe. He was on IRC, right before he lagged he promoted the IRC channel, and right before he lagged he commented on how fast IRC was blowing up. It is my understanding that casters are only allowed to have Starcraft open and nothing else. If this is an actual rule, then it must have a reason for its existence. The most obvious reason would be to prevent outside programs from causing in-game lag. Chill chose to ignore this rule and ended up lagging. He stayed, lagged again, and left the game. My heart sank when the lagging started, and sank further when Chill stayed in-game. There should be a zero tolerance lag policy with regards to anyone but the players. Games can always be cast from the replay. If a caster lags they should be booted immediately. If a ref lags they should be booted, if an observer lags they should be booted. The only people necessary in-game are the players. If Day9 and Chill had both lagged, boot them both and just cast from the replay once the game if over.

There are a lot of ways Nani could have gotten out. But, small things like this are often overlooked ^^.

Just finished watching VODs and I must say this was best finals in SC2 history. GJ ThorZaiN, you very well deserved it. Also Day9's solo casting in second half of Game 7 was A M A Z I N G. Lesson learnt: I will never miss TSL finals ever again. :D

You can clearly see his minerals go from 1000 to 100 several times. There are many situations where it's perfectly acceptable to have that much in the bank. And dont forget that in some instances he lost his nexus at his expansion and had alot of extra minerals from temporarily mining from 2 bases before setting up 5/6 gateways

Day would die solo casting this way... he gave his earth and his lung to us, extraordinary.
