I think that these showmatches are a great idea. It's a bit sad that Drewbie recieves so much negative feedback for this.
Yes, he lost all three matches, but that's because he played excellent players.
Dimaga and White-Ra certainly belong to the top 5 or even top 3 of their respective races on EU.
Maybe not everyone would name Beasty as top 5 terran on EU, but if you look at the sheer number of super strong Terrans on Europe, that is no wonder. He is a very strong player and there is no shame losing to him.
I applaud Drewbie that he did not chose some second tier players, just to look good.

Ah yes, Drewbie doing this is great.
But CatZ coming here and citing lag and scheduling is not so great.

There's nothing shameful in admitting that the people he is up against are simply BETTER players.

I think the reason that people are bashing NA players, is that their reputation is too good, and they receive too much money in sponsorships for being relatively mediocore players. A lot of the "top" NA players would barely be grand master players in europe. In europe there are a lot of "unknown" players that skillwise would be top 10 in NA.

Actually I think that EmpireBeastyq can easily be one of TOP 5 Terran's in EU. He is taking a lot of cups at the moment and his games are solid as hell.

i agree that beastyqt is rly good, but he isnt anywhere near top 5 terran. I wouldnt really put him above Happy, Kas, Thorzain, Bratok, Demuslim, Sjow, Cloud, Strelok.

Well, I have a lot of replays of every single player you mentioned, and Bestyq games are nothing worse than theirs. But yeah, I see your point. Also, Bestyq is really solid in all matchups, while some players you mentioned aren't. Like BratOk losing 2:0 to Nerchio, and Beastyq winning cup finals against Nerchio score 3:2. It's really hard to decide Europe's TOP 5 Terrans, because there are so many of them, and all of them are really good. This is why I said he can be.

People should give props to Drewbie. He accepted to play the challenge. And its not always on EU. He played White-Ra on NA. He played Dimaga on EU cause Dimaga before that day said he had insane lags on NA that day(didn't know why).

And on the matter on the next match. Endrey plans to get some Terran so lets take some quesses (i think Beastyqt dont count cause he already played).
I think it could be either Kas, Tlo, Diestar or Happy. Since i think Drewbie would veto the Goody.

Oh. And Catz i would love to see you in similar series. I think you are the most creative Zerg (or crazy) since retail. TLO has that title from beta ;P

Wow I can't believe some people. Drewbie is one of the best Terrans in NA, and by far the most underrated. I'm not judging this on results (even though he does have results). I'm judging this on his play style/mechanics. He's super solid and he doesn't rely on gimmicks. I can't wait till he becomes one of the top terrans, and the results reflect that, then we won't have to deal with all the negative comments.

Nothing bad towards drewbie as i enjoy watching him play but it's kinda funny that he doesn't do to well with this when he's the main attraction of it all .p

How many people would watch Drewbie vs. RandomEUZergFromLadder?

White-Ra and Dimaga were picked likely because they are high-profile players who would attract a lot of spectators, not because they are necessarily the best opponents for Drewbie. Then again, there aren't many people on NA that I would put up against White-Ra and Dimaga, except for the expensive pro-gamers like Idra who generally do not play for anything less than $200.

I agree with you, those guys are the best terrans. People shouldnt bash Drewbie though, any one of those guys mentioned could lose to dimaga and white-ra.

im afraid the issue here is that the fact that he's one of the best in NA doesnt mean he's close to being one of the best in Eu due to the bigger competitive scene
Also i agree that people shouldbt bash him (really good) play and should try to enjoy the showmatches thanking the players offering them but i gotta say that catz's post was pretty bad made, with a lot of wrong points and bad arguments

Latency from EU to NA and NA to EU its random, at least for us, sometimes its fine, sometimes its not, don't wanna sound like I was making excuses for drewbie or anything like that, he played against one of the best zergs in the world, and lost 1-3, under bad circumstances for him. But he also consistently proves how good of player he is, I just dont understand all the bashing for no reason.
