True, but that's why I think a 2 gate-Stargate FE is a questionable opening vs. a zerg that isn't going for roaches. Anypro put himself too far away from colossi tech in that case.

This will not change the metagame at all.
You still can FFE on 4P maps, because OL maybe wont be there in time, and spines does not touch nexus

How in the hell was that cheeze. When you can kill your opponent because hes cutting to many corners, you kill him. And about the Idra thing, do you really think zergs having to play coin flips is good for esports?

Attacking cross map against a guy getting collosi ( his robo bay was finishing as the attack began ) is pretty all in with hydralisk. You simply must do a lot of damage, and beat the first collosi poping out, retreat isn't an option due to hydralisk's speed off creep. You either do a lot of dmg, or lose all of your hydras and have almost nothing to holding the collosi counter push since you invested so much in the hydras ( too much gas to have spire in time ). It was still a great attack though, and very well thought out .. but it simply had to work or Nestea was dead, there is no retreat with a hydra push in those positions.

no, just NO
there was no cheese by nestea he expanded while moving out and did it another time when it was save
how is that a cheese?

No.
I'm saying Zerling/Hydra on Metapolais after going Stargate expand is very hard to defend. You need like 7 Cannons to defend the area around your Nexus. Maps like Tal'Darim/Shakuras, pretty much any map where you don't have a huge open natural you would be fine

Nestea is prepare for break the double nexus. I'm pretty sure bout that.

Everytime I see someone mention an build order being cheese or all-in, I get a bit rage-y. Be fair, there are definitely cheesy builds that are pretty all-in (proxying gates, 6pool).
Sure isn't any of that stuff in these 2 games, though!

I think this is the only map Anypro has a chance....Nestea has him figured out though...... I like mutas on this map :D

Timing attacks are also "all-ins" now, that is also acceptable for frustrated players.

im pretty sure a forge expo is still viable, but instead of just happily sitting behind cannons and going for air / colo tech, you actually have to make a halfway decent gateway army now to not die to a few lings and proxy spines ~_~
alternatively, anypro was relying on nestea to just macro up in cross positions and thus skimped on his defense in favor of faster tech; it was a risk based on an assumption from nestea's previous games that nestea decided to punish completely with a timing attack. that's not cheese, that's smart play - if your opponent is going to rush tech and economy and cut army size, that's closer to cheese and you'd be a fool for not punishing that kind of greedy play.
|
To be fair, Anypro hasn't been reacting well to the goings on so far.
|
Nestea, stop showing all the damn zergs how to play their overpowered race... how am I supposed to ladder now with this shit becoming public knowledge.

Set 2 he was 2 base v 2 base and anypro could not deal with the attack either way... Need to do some kind of 1 VR Robo/robo bay build, as 1 colossus would deal with that easily. that was all in. If anypro had fast colossi coming, nestea would have lost. Set 2 was an all in, set 1 I don't believe that was all in. Nestea's attack in game 2 HAD too kill his opponent or he would be super far behind (at the minimum killing his nexus).
Anypro got robo the moment he saw the hydra den. It could not have been faster. The only mistake was not cannon.

TBH, cheese is a terrible term to begin with. What the heck does that term even mean? Is there a definition? NesTea did sick timing attacks in reaction to his opponent's moves. It's a beautiful game ruined by trolls.

They need to get crossfire out of the map pool, the map is awful.

lol @ people calling those punish timings all ins he kept looking for cannons with his zerglings then he made a bunch if he did see cannons i bet he would of expanded, and the first game punishing him for dropping a nexus first because the protoss forced him to pool first, and he had 4 bases in the end.. lol yeah thats all in
