from a both players and spectators perspective,I find it pretty stupid that the only reliable way for zerg to win the matchup(or seemingly so) is do the equivalent of a 6 gate, which is but one of many options for a protoss to win the game. What the morrow vs kiwi series has shown us though is that nydus/drops/agressive play is NOT the end all answer to beat protoss, and against a high end protoss like kiwi drops are fairly easy to defend and from my view not very cost effective.
I didn't said I liked it, just that the most effective way to beat a P imo. Morrow's drop were late and random. Dropping a 16 warpgates protoss is an impossible mission Mr Phelps.
the problem with being aggressive in zvp, dpoing multiprong attacks and drops is that you must do damage or you simply die. And a smart toss will not make zealots but he'll make cannons instead (See how hard it was for Morrow to do any damage vs 2+ cannons?). Only reason kiwikaki didn't make a cannon at the edge of his base that game was because he had phoenixes and felt safe for a while with them against drops. It's taking a pretty big risk as a zerg to be aggressive. Even when Idra does this style perfectly i.e. attacking not only in multiple spots (and pulling away without many losses), dropping hydras to kill off a lot of probes at the same time, the battles he has with toss are still quite close later on. It's also really hard to do this style on certain maps as well because of the close proximity of the toss' third (i.e. shakuras).
And for those of you who criticize morrow for his style, he's said himself that he's tried mass roaches, mass infestors, blings, and all sorts of strategies and still has the most success with the old school style in practice. He practices, experiments and forms zvp strategies with hasuobs and kiwikaki, not with random ladder noobs.
