Yeah very innovative.. Cruncher won and the game is balanced so he must be the better player.

Uhh no they don't. They really don't counter each other. As the above poster stated get the infestors to go along with the mutas. Fungal stops the blink zerglings can surround. He was kind of implying that without stating it.
Infestors only have 90 HP and so feedback can often kill them, so in that way HT's are a counter. Additionally, the opportunity cost of one infestor is 1.5 mutas. And FG only works for 4 seconds now, so mass blink stalkers will more than likely still escape unless the zerg has an absurd amount of infestors & lings ready and executes all of the FG's perfectly (he'd need to FG each group of stalkers multiple times).
Morrow tried this against anypro in the first match of the world gsl team tournament and anypro just blinked away and took little more than shield damage.
Infestors are absurdly good against terran (maybe too good), but like many late tier zerg units, pretty terrible against protoss.

Ace won?

Its a real shame all the zergs are out of the TSL. I could theory craft bout how Mondi could have won, but Protoss just seems very difficult to deal with right now. So many great tech paths and options
Hats off to Mondragon for his manner though. Truly a class act in and out of the game. Thats always good to see if nothing else.

And Protoss don't use Carriers or Warp Prisms. It frustrates me more to see such an ability to have such diversified play not used. People tell Zerg to use Overlord drops and be inventive. No one tells Protoss to use Warp Prisms to beat Roach Hydra Corruptor or use Carriers to harass mineral lines.

Mondi just played bad especially that 4th game. muta roach vs blinkstalkers & storm GG. Should have built banes and/or infestors. Banes against stalkers with no sentries GG.

Seriosly Im so pissed because I feel like all top zerg player are stupid nobrainers like their race.... HELLO infestor counter blink stalkers, mass phoenix voidrays and are awesome against everything toss have(ok not against HT). Why noone makes em !?!?!
game 1 = Cruncher played terrible , Mondi played awesome. game 2 = Cruncher played good wining because of imba map and invincible combo, Mondi played awesome but its just not enough. game 3 = Cruncher wins with cheese thats easy to defend, Mondi reacts in the worst possible way. game 4 = Both playing awesome but Cruncher was so cost effective that wins even with Mondi massive eco advantage. Overall Cruncher is the superior player today ( or superior race?? )
Cruncher played decent today if we dont count game 1. Clearly deserved this win. GG's !!

Time to get so high all the pain go away
GG, amazing ro16, looking forward to ro8 GREAT JOB TEAM LIQUID

A very disappointing weekend for the swarm. At least there's Spanishiwa to give us hope that the Zerg dark age might end eventually.

Pity he made mistakes in g2 and the cannon rush one. Sigh. Biased fanboyism. The better player always wins. Today, Cruncher was the better player. In a completely balanced game/competition sure the better man wins, but this isn't Chess and that wasn't the case.
Doesn't white always have the advantage in chess?

No, Moon placed 2nd. Ace (protoss) won IEM.

Zergs need to learn that outplaying their opponents doesn't mean beating them (the last game was terrible though)

Neither of those is true. There were fewer zergs before but not as much anymore. We also saw Mondragon doing significantly different things in his games compared to cruncher.

Banes vs Storm? You really think that's a good idea?

You can't honestly say that Mondragon played better than Cruncher the last game, it is getting to incredible levels of pettiness if you think balance was the reason why Mondragon last the final game.

Mondragon played brilliantly, showcasing a style of zerg that will become more popular in the coming months for sure. However, he was held back by his lack of game experience, especially in the third game during the cannon rush (which was truly the only moment he butchered anything).
Overall, the TSL shows why its the tournament of the whole StarCraft scene, bringing out amazing games from everyone.
