I gotta say I was impressed at how nicely Cruncher responded in unit comp to Mondi's muta play - mass mutas would do great against void+colossus but Cruncher showed he is more than just a 1-trick pony. I still feel bad for zergs ![]() I think it would have been better if Mondragon did something with the mutas. He let them pile up and sit in his base and when the mutas were discovered he still just let the mutas sist in his natural for several minutes letting Cruncher build tons of phoenixes.

Cruncher did outplay Mondi in G4. But sad to see the way Mondi lost in G2 and G3. D:

Marines fare much better honestly. It looked like he trying to go mass ling at the end there, and honestly that was probably the best choice, but he didn't have the upgrades Watch Idra v MC at Dreamhack. Idra mismicro'd his Broodlords brought his Hydras in to try buy some time for them and gets hit by 3 storms. His Hydras get floored because they can't get away or you have to predict Storms before they happen.

If the better player always wins theres no point in playing the game unless you are redefining 'better player' as whoever wins the game. When people say things like "the better player always wins" its intentionally ambiguous and stupid. If you truly believe that, then you cannot judge players outside of win/loss ratio at all, and cannot compare players other than head to head games, and even further, all comparisons of 2 players mean nothing until the game is even played. So either you truly mean what you say and better stick to that belief and never judge players outside of head to head win/loss or you are a misguided idiot.

I find it irritating that he's able to be that overzealous with cannons and eliminate the threat of drops and harassment completely, but I can't blame him for doing what he needs to do the win and exploiting the strengths of Protoss. Agree. I don't blame him for doing it, but it bothers me how easily a protoss can turtle with basically no fear of getting punished.

But it didn't seem fair, Mondragon was playing so well, battering CrunCher left and right. Normally when someone wins a series that convincingly it feels natural to say they played better. But here it doesn't, it doesn't seem fair that Mondragon lost, he's so much better than CrunCher, I'm sorry but it's true. If CrunCher wins this TSL, I will be deeply upset. Hopefully Naniwa will beat him, as Naniwa is actually very good. CrunCher is just a cheesey player who likes to BM people. I'm bothered by these results. I cannot wait to see what State of the Game has to say about all this. How was CrunCher playing worse than MonDragon the last game? I'll give you Shakuras, Mondragon played brilliantly and it was sad to see him lose. But the game on Metaloplais, you can't honestly blame imbalance on that. There wasn't even a deathball, CrunCher just played that very well

Last game he really could have had it, but he sticked to Roaches and Mutalisks. ![]() I think one of these transitions would most likely won him the game: Corrupters instead of more Mutalisks (Julys old style) Hydralisks. Cruchers Colossi came out to late. Infestors.
