Bleh, good plan from Morrow but execution isn't so great. He could've done a lot more damage and his econ could be in better shape.

This is painful to watch... how do you lose that big of an advantage morrow? Roach hydra push down the third, or mega expand or something. That was some of the sloppiest hydras drops I have ever seen.

That is something i want to see more often from zerg. Those aggresive drops is the right choice against protoss:

-Forcefield
-Deathball (because of the immobility)
-FE with wall in

Morrow is so disappointing. :|

No offense to the guy, but I really don't get why does he even gets to play in invitationals and such, his play is just underwhelming :\

If morrow can do more damage with those drops without suciding his entire army every time, he will win.

MorroW needs to learn from Moon, multi pronged drop locations > one big doom drop 9/10 times if there's an army in the base.

Morrow has started dropping Hydras.

I think this is a huge mistake.

Yes, that's why it's not a good idea to sacrifice expensive units.

You dont have to sacrifice them, you know you can load back up after you do damage right? You do not have to sacrifice everything.....

Now Morrow is in a lot of trouble, Deathball on 3 bases is too scary.

DjWheat talking about hydras having a hard time moving across the map.... seriously can some zerg PRO player start using nydas properly???? This shit pisses me off so much. Why do all zerg players feel like nydas is a waste if it isnt in the enemy base? Fucking use it as a rally...

Nah, the real question is why a tactical genius such as yourself isn't playing ZErg.... I really wanna know.

Match 2: GSL`Terminus RE
[image loading] (P)mouz.HasuObs 1 vs 0 [image loading] (Z)mouz.MorroW

(P)mouz.HasuObs spawns as Red Protoss @9
(Z)mouz.MorroW spawns as Blue Zerg @3

2:00
Hasu with forge FE, Morrow with gas-pool. Hasu blocks the nat with a patrolling probe. Morrow doesn't even try to take his nat.

4:30
6 lings drive away the probe. Morrow takes his nat but Hasu already has his second nexus completed. Ling speed finishes. Hasu takes his third gas gyser, and drops a cybercore.

6:45
Morrow's drone scout only goes around in circles in the Protoss main. Hasu builds a stargate at his natural instead. Morrow hasn't seen anything. Lair done for Morrow. Voidray being chrono-ed.

Drone eventually sees the stargate just as the void pops. Phoenix being made now. Morrow researching drops, so he can't build queens.

9:15
Void sees banes morphing. Morrow loads them up and drops them into the protoss main. Hasu targets the empty OL. Hasu loses his main Nexus, but FF blocks the ramp and saves his nat. Hasu has lost everything in his main. Morrow sees the Robo in Hasu's base.

11:10
Hasu takes another expo at the rich-gas expo. Morrow scouts this with an OL. Hydra den done for Morrow.

Morrow has lings in the nat probe line, but they run away and attack the warping nexus.

Hasu attakcs into Morrow's main with 3 voidrays and a phoenix. They kill an extractor and retreat before the hydras can arrive and kill anything.

Hasu has his third/second base up now, maynards probes. He has not retaken his main.

13:30
Hasu now rebuilds a nexus in his main. He tries to snipe a queen, but doesn't get it before hydras arrive so he backs away. OLs are all over the map.

15:00
Morrow drops Hasu's main again. Hasu has a colossus. Morrow kills the robo bay and a voidray. Hasu barely saves the nexus in his main by 100 hp.

Hasu is ahead in supply slightly. By ~20 I think?

17:20
Morrow takes his 4th at the inner 1. He researches tunneling claws, burrow, air weapons and builds another hat in his base. Hasu getting ground armour.

Morrow's play is infuriating because he's had chances to harass Hasu's bases and utilize drops into the main while Hasu's army is out of position.

But he constantly chooses to engage the main army at the choke between bases which is not wise at all.

More Zergs really need to adapt a harass mentality rather than a head on engagement against a deathball.

What your not understanding is the fragility of zerg, if you tech too much, any mass gateway build will run over you. Zerg is always dancing on a hair with their decisions, risk vs reward. Your comments are vapid and baseless, just mindlessly repeating what you hear from day9. How many times have I risked teching to nydus or overlord drops just a bit too fast ( to harass the toss exactly like your saying) only to be run over by yet another mass gateway push because I didn;t have enough units. Stop criticizing zerg players, they know what they are doing. You do not.

Since they arent winning, they clearly arent. Wasnt really hard to read that Hasu was turtling hardcore that game, right? Stop defending the mass lowtier playstyle vs protoss maxteched army, it was the sole reason as to why he lost that game

Didn't Idra do drop play vs Cruncher on this map too?

It's so big that it's hard for protoss to defend their main and natural at the same time against drops, and cannot really use buildings to help.

Lot harder to drop on some maps, but Terminus is probably the best
