I really hate how Naniwa dominating takes a backseat to all of this. All you new posters kill these threads.

Did they show any of his games? I just woke up and caught the Idra v Huk series, then sifted through the MLG site and noticed that Naniwa 4-0'd his group.

I think KiWiKaKi was a bit more impressive, to be honest. Much harder bracket, and much more entertaining games.

That being said, mad props to both Naniwa and KiWi

True but naniwa came through open pool play, hes on quite a tear.

I picked them both to do well so im happy all round.

As far as I understand the rules of the tournament, according to the Technical fouls rule 2 here + breaking it during a broadcast, Idra must recieve 2 technical fouls for his behavior.

As for me, I used to be rooting for Idra, but since today count me out of his fanbase....

Did you go as a player or spectator? Either way I feel for you man.

All of us trying to watch the fail of a stream were just as frustrated as you are.

MLG Rules state

Gameplay

1. No Pausing a Game without Referee’s permission. If an issue arises that requires a Pause, Players should contact their Referee immediately. Referees may approve or deny a Player’s request to Pause the Game. Pausing a Game without Referee’s permission will result in a Warning. Each subsequent Warning that a Player receives will result in a Forfeit of the Game (See Gameplay Rule #18).

2. Players may not look at an opposing Player’s Monitor or projected screen.

3. Players may not chat in-game unless they are engaging in pre-game sportsmanship or surrendering the Game.

4. Players must disable Toast Notifications in the Battle.net options.

5. Players must set their status to Busy.

6. Breaking any of Gameplay Rules #2-5 will result in a Forfeit of the Game.

lolwut? So what about those rules anyway

Yeah, I read this the other day. The game should go to Idra. Rules are rules. Especially if they enforce sportsmanship.

Really? After he said "fuck off", game should go to Idra? Fanboys, I will never understand them.

Well technically huk had already forfeit the game before idra said anything.

Hmm for some reason I don't see MLG referees being harder on HuK who was chatting about the previous game but I would seem them being rather harsh on Idra for saying Fuck in their tournament.....

I completely agree. Everyone would have been laughing at this thread would have exploded even more than it did. Damn... I wish he had done that now. That would so amazing.

So Haypro lost to Select, that means another 3way tie (Ret, Qxc, Haypro) in Group B?

From games won it should be: Ret - Qxc - Haypro

According to the MLG site Haypro actually lost to qxc so he's 0-4. =/

No surprise to me honestly. Personally Haypro just hasn't seemed like a strong player ever; his gameplay seems underwhelming. Of course he isn't terrible, so he puts out some good games here and there, but overall I feel like his lack of results is due to him not being a top tier player, not bad luck.

I am sure people will disagree with that, which is fine, but I'm not going to bother arguing. I just wanted to voice my opinion... feel free to voice your own, but lets not bother arguing.

I actually feel really bad for MLG. Today really couldn't have gone much worse. Blame it on what you want, but it has to be regarded as an absolute disaster. I'm certain that heads will roll in the MLG board meeting next week.

I'll still support them though. This is their first event of the year and I expected it to be a little bumpy. (not this bumpy). I truly hope that they can turn it around in Columbus, for their sake. I don't want to think what a second catastrophe of this proportion would do to MLG.

As this has happened at every MLG tournament, I think it's about par for the course.
