Halo and CoD kids having fun on LAN. Starcraft II and all of the 256+ players cry in frustration due to lag. More shit blows up, and continues to blow up throughout the day. All MLG can do is cry and pray for the damn satellite or Blizzard to make a LAN edition specifically for tournament organizers.
I hope that Day 3 is better, I won't be getting a refund or opting for the free Columbus pass. What I do want, is the people who told all of the organizers "it'll be fine, our connection can handle it" or "we've got it fixed for sure" to be torn a new asshole. I partly blame MLG, but they're the middleman, they get screwed over when shit breaks beyond their control.
I'm rooting for you MLG! Don't give up the fight!
For real imagine how hard they where working to fix an ISPs issue. Its sad that is snowballed because of the issues on MLG's end yesterday. If it had been one of the other there would be far less trolls.

Broodlords are way too slow to retreat. IdrA quit because he realized he would lose all those Broodlords and would have no chance to remake an army. Now, whether he would've lost those Broodlords had he engaged is hard to say. Huk was running out of resources and so was IdrA. I suppose we'll never know for sure, but clearly IdrA thought either that the void rays were real or they weren't but he lost anyways, and decided to quit.

IdrA and HuK are (were?) friends all of last year (they were both in Korea for a while together even though HuK never qualified for Code A/S until he got a free pass through Code B).
I hope their friendship survives this ridiculousness!!! i dont think they were ever friends. maybe acquaintances. You must not have been here during the beta when Idra specifically said that all Huk can do is 4 gate. On State of the Game circa late September last year, right when HuK first signed with Liquid. IdrA talked about how he had been trying to convince HuK to stop playing risky and work on building a better macro game.
and that proves what? lol
right before the king of the beta series there was angst between the two because Idra would wave off huk as a one trick pony who could only 4 gate. they were not friends bro. and if u have been following their laddering days in Korea, you would know they BMed each other quite a lot ^^

You guys arguing huk would have won game 2 are idiots. Idra had like 80 workers alive mining, and larva to remake his army. Huk had lost half his probes, his production facilities were damaged or taken out by lings in his main, and they were fighting in huks base and just by army value alone idras was 30 % larger. You could put my two year old sister on the keyboard to smash keys and idra still would have won.

I watched some Naniwa replays, like all of them are under 8 minutes lol.

I dont think 8 broodlords and mass zergling in gonna beat that lol... Are you referring to game two? o.O IdrA was WAY ahead of HuK, in both supply and bases. There was no way he was going to lose that game, unless he had done something incredibly stupid (like leave for no reason ::cough: . If they had played it out, IdrA would have 2-0ed HuK easily. He was only up 20 supply which a zerg should be and what do you mean Idra had more bases? It was half map verus half map with Idra going to mine out sooner. The best Idra could have hoped for with that push would have been a draw from that angle. Go watch the replay, no way idra would have won that game.

I think KiWiKaKi was a bit more impressive, to be honest. Much harder bracket, and much more entertaining games.
That being said, mad props to both Naniwa and KiWi

Sheth and CocoA placed below 16th while grubby and Tri-Master were 9th-16th. Was that a mistake or there was any game that decided that? http://s3.majorleaguegaming.com/2011-dallas-starcraft2-champ.html# (Click on losers on the left) Grubby and trimaster are both out. Not in 9th-16th How so? Im confused, i thought Ro6 = 5th-6th, Ro5 = 9th-16th. Both trimaster and grubby lost on Ro5 just like every other player on Loser's bracket and where those 2 players were supposed to be there is the Sheth and CocoA names where they both lost in Ro4 (17th-32th). How sheth and cocoa got bumped up to Loser's Bracket? Grubby lost in the WB RO16. Of the 8 that advanced, 4 moved on to pool play and the other 4 got seeded 5th-8th in the championship bracket.
Grubby moved down to the last round of the open bracket LB. There the 8 lsoers from the RO16 (Grubby included) had to face whoever won their matches in that section. The winner of that game is seeded 9th-16th in the championship bracket.

lolwut? So what about those rules anyway Yeah, I read this the other day. The game should go to Idra. Rules are rules. Especially if they enforce sportsmanship. Really? After he said "fuck off", game should go to Idra? Fanboys, I will never understand them. Well technically huk had already forfeit the game before idra said anything.
