Are you referring to game two? o.O IdrA was WAY ahead of HuK, in both supply and bases. There was no way he was going to lose that game, unless he had done something incredibly stupid (like leave for no reason ::cough: .
If they had played it out, IdrA would have 2-0ed HuK easily.

lolwut? So what about those rules anyway Yeah, I read this the other day. The game should go to Idra. Rules are rules. Especially if they enforce sportsmanship. This at least deserves addressing by MLG.
HuK told Idra about his mistake last game(Though obviously in a smug rub it i your face way) and Idra told him to Fuck off, neither player is really innocent though HuK provoked Idra it wasn't a big enough 'BM' to rule out Idra dropping the F bomb at a tournament event.... If Idra had kept his mouth shut they probably would have DQ'd HuK. so Idra's rage cost him 2 games today, maybe he will learn?

Makes sense since he had to go through the lower bracket against players who arent as skilled as him.
Either way, its highly impressive.

hahahahahhaha according to that rule IdrA could get the game given to him, that's pretty funny.
Also can anyone care to explain the brackets to me? MLG seems to have not updated them in forever.
What happens with the pools? 2 people at the top go through and the 2 bottom don't? If anyone has a link that explains this I'd love it if you could post it, because I'm trying to follow the tourney but nothing is making sense =/ The OP of this thread really doesn't say anything either =/

The way I look at it, July was the only Zerg having moderate success because he came out with a new style, but now that everyone has figured it out, it's back to being owned every game. Why can't Zerg have such skilled players like Cruncher, or HuK.
Eh, I could go on about this argument, but I wasn't talking about just this tournament or the players involved. But awesome fact: world ranked protoss forget about chrono boost lategame lol.

IdrA and HuK are (were?) friends all of last year (they were both in Korea for a while together even though HuK never qualified for Code A/S until he got a free pass through Code B).
I hope their friendship survives this ridiculousness!!! i dont think they were ever friends. maybe acquaintances. You must not have been here during the beta when Idra specifically said that all Huk can do is 4 gate.
On State of the Game circa late September last year, right when HuK first signed with Liquid. IdrA talked about how he had been trying to convince HuK to stop playing risky and work on building a better macro game.

If Idra had paused the game and contacted a ref immediately when Huk said "you know most of that army was hallu", and thus been awarded the game, it would have been the most hilarious thing imaginable.

lolwut? So what about those rules anyway Yeah, I read this the other day. The game should go to Idra. Rules are rules. Especially if they enforce sportsmanship. Doesn't specify good or bad sportsmanship, no rule was broken. Wow that is an awesome loophole. actually, now that I think about it it means that only HuK broke the rule. He was chatting about last game and IdrA was just being a bad sport and telling him to fuck off. technically what HuK said had nothing to do with the current game or being sportmanlike, whereas IdrA's comment could be construed as a sort of "anti gl hf"
Not that it matters anyways, results would have been the same.

im an idra fan but I still think he deserves the losses even though HUk talked. Either way, Blizzard should take a note from Warcraft 3 Dota and adopt Hallucinations that take 100% more damage than normal units. Otherwise I really think Its overpowered in battles because its a free tank shield.

From games won it should be: Ret - Qxc - Haypro According to the MLG site Haypro actually lost to qxc so he's 0-4. =/

lolwut? So what about those rules anyway Rofl so as the initiator Huk Forfeits the Match, and Idra Wins by Default. i can see the grin on his face already. This is gonna make a very interesting story line tomorrow. I don't see Scoots or Idra bringing this up with MLG because the match didn't change the results in the group play. Looking forward to it regardless Except Idra also told Huk to fuck off, meaning it's on both of them....
I'm not expert on MLG's rules but Huk did break the rule first by talking in chat. Which obviously wasn't 'pre-game sportsmanship' Thats why I said its a good story not sure how it will end up.

How so? Im confused, i thought Ro6 = 5th-6th, Ro5 = 9th-16th. Both trimaster and grubby lost on Ro5 just like every other player on Loser's bracket and where those 2 players were supposed to be there is the Sheth and CocoA names where they both lost in Ro4 (17th-32th). How sheth and cocoa got bumped up to Loser's Bracket?

Just putting this out there: for ANYONE that has a copy of that game 2 replay b/w huk and idra, you would be doing hundreds of people a favor by uploading it to any replay site to let us download it. kthx bai

even if only 1 person BM'ed instead of the back and forth, i dont think mlg wouldve given a forfeit loss to either player due to the magnification of the match......but then again....with how the whole tournament has been so far, its like throwing a log onto a burning house.
