He got in such a good position early on, but he seemed to just let his drops die after they were scouted, and then he never forced a major engagement before Naniwa was basically maxed. I feel like a nydus worm in the north end of Naniwa's main would have been devastating, around the point where Ret was at 200 suppy with hydralisks, and Naniwa had ~160. Ret even scouted that Naniwa didn't have sight on that part of his base with his 4 roach drop, but...nothing. I'm not one to doubt the claim that end-game ZvP is very very difficult, but Ret really had an advantage in the midgame, and it looked like he just let it go. I will forever be a Ret fan, but sometimes it makes me cry to see the things he could be doing with all of his units. However, he doesn't seem to have a weakness to cheese any more, so I'm sure that he'll overcome this hurdle as well. | ||
