Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't. |

Wow, 2 examples of games where Koreans lost (assuming MVP's loss). I'm sold. Invite NO Koreans!! -_-
OT: Pretty underwhelmed with today's choices, and really bummed that Dimaga couldn't get his shit together enough to enter his application on time. Can't imagine why people are wanting to fault NASL for this. It's not like everyone didn't have ample time to put in their entry.

Obviously a big chuck of their potential audience is familiar with the GSL and already has favorites in the Korean scene.
They are only doing a disservice to the community if they treat us like children and exclude top Korean players out of a fear they will dominate the tournament.
The GSL has gone out of their way to accommodate foreigners in their tournament, I don't know why the premiere league in North America won't return the favor T_T !
Who's scared of including top Koreans? What Koreans do you want in there? Theres still 15 names left, their obviously leaving some big names until the end.
According to the App Videos, there are not many koreans that applied, they obviously aren't going to accept all of them just because they are korean.
They have stated there are oGs members in the tournament, as well as big names (Boxer etc).
The last 2 reveals ( or maybe even three) will be awesome.

BTW I don't think the IGN league is going to include Koreans either...
What are all these NA tournament organizers afraid of other than having epic games between the best SC2 players in the world?

The 16person leaked tourny is just a kickoff tournament, nobody really knows what the IGN league is going to entail, or whats involved in it.
Maybe itll be just the the GSL and be LAN based, so they won't have many Koreans because of the requirement to come to America?
We don't know much about it yet, so you can't make claims like that.

Well lets start with Fruitdealer, Nestea, MC, IMMVP since they all won a GSL. Then Marineking, July, Nada and Boxer due to their close second place/quarterfinal finishes.
Any tournament that doesn't include at least half of these players cannot claim their tournament is featuring the best players in the world...
Even Cella is a fan favorite.

I think with the current lag issue it would be pretty bad to include too many Koreans like the list that someone postet before. I mean even MVP or MKP ( lost to SOcke in FXOOPEN inv. yesterday) cant perform too well with lags. How will other Koreans like Clide Supernova etc. do? It will be a big whine fest everytime a foreigner beat a Korean and it would be unfair to the players , when everytime the people say its cause of lags. that would not give the players the credit they deserve for their achievment. I guess MC July and 1 or 2 well known Koreans will be in NASL and that would be enough.

Well half of your list didnt even apllied for NASL. THe people here should inform themself better before making comments

I don't understand how you can claim lag is the reason more Koreas are not being invited.
Why would the lag in Korea be any more difficult to overcome than the lag from Europe.
Either way, July, Nada, Boxer, MC all applied. Just like Nony, Incontrol and IdrA are locks, there is no viable explanation why all four of those Korean players aren't locks either.

the list isnt completed yet. I dont say that they are not in
|
Honestly, I don't even feel they're inviting the best 50 out of the US/EU, even without thinking about Koreans.

You are sooo wrong, how about you inform yourself, the only two players I listed who may not have applied are Nestea and MVP.
Even then Xeris lied to us when he said NASL was reaching out to Korean teams to accommodate them. IM should have been the first team they reached out to.

I don't Beleive Nestea, IMMVP or MKP even applied to NASL.
Xeris or Incontrol have been quoted as saying something like " Don't worry about Boxer " as well as " there are oGs members in the NASL".
I believe Fruitdealer will be there along with Boxer Nada MC , a couple other oGs members, and maybe Tester or Cella.

I don't know why you are defending the NASL organizers... Including Moon and Ace over the more impressive Koreans is all the tell you need to show where their priorities lie.

How do you know he didn't? Players (like Jinro and Huk) have declined to apply to focus on the GSL. Maybe IM and IM players decided they would rather focus on the GSL, then fight the lag and play in the NASL. you can't make assumptions like "Xeris does nothing and is failing hard", He obviously contacted teams as 9 oGs members (one of the best korean teams) applied for the NASL.
