[NASL] Players (final) - Page 72

Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied.

Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

I'll reserve my final judgment for the full list, but I'm a little less than amped up now. I knew they'd have to invite less-than-top zerg players in order to keep race distribution solid. There simply aren't enough great zergs around to fill all of the spots, but some of the non-zergs aren't exactly impressing me.

This is definitely the weakest group of 5 they've announced. Probably on purpose, since every other day so far has been 100% agreeable.

i've never been less hyped for a gigantic tournament for starcraft 2 than this series. Who the heck is Vibe and why aren't some of the best Korean players in the world in this tournament?

Wow, they really are doing the "less koreans" thing despite all of the polls and information indicating that the majority want to see the top level koreans. I just don't understand the decision making. Do they think people are going to want to watch Darkforce vs. Moman when they could be watching MC vs. Julyzerg?
I think this league is turning out to be very different than many of us had expected when presented with the hype about "the very best players in the world" and "esports in the west is finally here!".

This is not going to be a competition, it's going to be a tv show.

this is a joke, vibe? no one even knows who this guy is. hes just some random ladder zerg, why is he invited to this league which is trying to be prestigious? Can't believe you aren't inviting DIMAGA either, why is someone like DIMAGA getting screwed over by bureacracy? Obviously NASL wants subpar north american players instead of some of the best players in the world Looking forward to seeing incontrol next week ;D

Hypothetical here. Imagine all the players had their identities hidden and that there was no one casting games (Making a case for appeal to authority for those familiar with argumentation). Could you tell the difference between a top 8 MLG 2010 finisher from a top 8 Dreamhack player? Pro players excluded, could any of you, the casual noob pwnerer viewer actually pick out the 78th best player from the 39th and say they were obviously "underwhelming"? I definitely can't and I watch sc2 stuff at least 6 hours out of the day ( university student = 90% free time :D ).

Only 15 left, getting nervous on the behalf of Goody and ThorZain.

The last 15 better all be koreans or this league will seem vastly inferior to GSL.

Well, for those of you who complain about Lalush and Dimaga -- they were past the deadline in submitting their applications. They can only blame themselves for not being in this league, because they (at least, DIMAGA for sure) would have been chosen.

ok, that's really bad.

no kas, no dimaga ... 2 of the top 10 in Europe aren't playing in this league. That makes me really sad, because I really enjoy watching Kas and Dimaga.

I wished that you would invite the foreigner, who really belong in this league or at least asked them if they want to play.

Vibe and Stalife are bad picks. You can be sure that they won't advance to the finals and that's bad for the league.

Really happy that Artosis is in this, want to see how he does. There's no Day9 to crush him early so he might do well even if he's by far the weakest in his group.

I agree, I'll probably show up for the big names like idra, TLO, and Artosis, but my interest will remain specifically on GSL if things continue the way they are.

Division 5, The Group of Death?

Seems a little Stacked to me...4 top tier Protoss and arguably the 2 best Zergs in the NASL.

So since Vibe(nothing against him) made it in I guess it's safe to assume that Strifecro/Incontrol/LZ should be in the next 15 which would leave 12 other names. Also at this point it'd be absolutely bonkers not to get Grubby in there. Since his appeal atm is immense.

The NASL knows they can get away with inviting whomever they want and people will still watch and tune in cause they'll(for the moment) be the only game in town for "Primetime" SC2. I'll be voting with my wallet and won't pay up till the level of competition either proves itself after the first season or increases in the seasons to come. Others should do the same.

Hey guys im willing to throw some info out on ViBE since people are wondering who he is, and a lot of haters are getting pretty pissed..

ViBE deserves to be here, hands down, and if you don't know him or you don't think hes capable then its no ones fault but your own for not being involved enough in the NA scene.

ViBE's first big tournament experience was MLG Dallas finals last year, he faced TT1 very first round on the first day, and lost a close 1-2 series. He clawed his way through the loser bracket until about round 6~ where he lost another close series to QXC with the score of 1-2.

He has had great success in clan wars if you follow any of our events, and recently got a top4 finish in the most recent TLOpen, taking out FXOMOoNan 2-1 in the ro16 and RoX.KIS.Brat_Ok 2-0 in the round of 8. He will be participating in MLG this year, so keep your eyes open~

Hope this helps, people should really stop freaking out about this..
