Is it really worth enforcing arbitrary deadlines so strictly for a decrease in the overall quality of the league? I don't get it.
[NASL] Players (final) - Page 73
Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

ViBE deserves to be here, hands down I'll reserve judgment on that until I see who is left out.

I get why Artosis is in, he is awesome and has the potential to play at the highest level, but come on, no offense to the guys, but I like to think I'm kinda up to date and know most of the pro players, but I really cant think of any tournament win by either Stalife or Vibe (1. R, 2. R, 3.R anyone?). Also, I know Moman has awesome application, but I have never herd of him before seeing that, so that pick is also really strange for me (considering there's only 15 spots left and so much great players still out of the league). Seeing the divisions, I think I'm really going to look forward to the division 5 games (witch is kinda stupidly stacked), and only tune to other division games if the games are really promising (I can only pray that divisions are not going to be played according to the days (meaning that division 5 is going to be played friday late night eu time).

ViBE deserves to be here, hands down, and if you don't know him or you don't think hes capable then its no ones fault but your own for not being involved enough in the NA scene. ViBE's first big tournament experience was MLG Dallas finals last year, he faced TT1 very first round on the first day, and lost a close 1-2 series. He clawed his way through the loser bracket until about round 6~ where he lost another close series to QXC with the score of 1-2. He has had great success in clan wars if you follow any of our events, and recently got a top4 finish in the most recent TLOpen, taking out FXOMOoNan 2-1 in the ro16 and RoX.KIS.Brat_Ok 2-0 in the round of 8. He will be participating in MLG this year, so keep your eyes open~ Hope this helps, people should really stop freaking out about this.. For me atleast, having won games in clan wars and winning against 3-4 good players in significant tournament games since release wouldn't quite cut it. Ofc. he's a very good player, but top 50 in the world or even top 50 outside korea? I don't think he has proven that.

Honestly wondering here, can anyone point me to somewhere where I should remember him from? Also, I rate Grubby higher than Vibe/Moman/Stalife + he has a gigantuous fanbase so I have some more hope that he will get in now ![]() E: Drewbie in division 5 holy crap ![]()

If the NASL is going for the very best players in the world available for a an intense, competitive league, he does not deserve to be there, "hands down". This is only because there are a number of amazing players that are apparently being left out, not because vibe is not a good player. Vibe has had some pretty great games, but he is not on the same level as a player like dimaga. But the problem is not just vibe. It's all of the decent but not amazing NA players that are being put in while a number of amazing global players are not. With only 15 spots left, it is clear there are going to be a number of players not being included that are far better at starcraft 2 than some of the people being included. Given that, you have to ask why. Clearly the people managing the NASL have zero interest in creating a competitive environment.

Vibe is good, NrG has a solid lineup, but if Vibe is in, dde is in 100%, and mihai is arguably better than Vibe as well. 3 players from NrG? I mean....This is pretty crazy....they're going to leave out some pretty serious players...

Adel and ClouD are possibly in the top 50 even if you count the Koreans that applied, I honestly don't think that Vibe/Stalife/MomaN are on that level. Also, MVP was highly affected by the lag, you could clearly see that. So even though Adel played well, you don't know if he would've if the conditions were different.

They're playing on the NA server though, latency is roughly equal there for both Koreans and Europeans (100-150)

You don't need to make excuses for the Koreans. It's possible for Koreans to lose to foreigners; in fact it happens quite often... @_@

Obviously a big chuck of their potential audience is familiar with the GSL and already has favorites in the Korean scene. They are only doing a disservice to the community if they treat us like children and exclude top Korean players out of a fear they will dominate the tournament. The GSL has gone out of their way to accommodate foreigners, I don't know why the premiere league in North America won't return the favor T_T !

And just a heads up for all those people whining about not enough koreans, and koreans should be in cuz they are the best, MYMClouD beat oGsMC 2-0 last night in FXO invitational. Seems like a massive stretch of logic to suggest that since MVP lost we shouldn't want Koreans in NASL.

I agree with you that Koreans can lose to foreigners, so why can't we invite July instead of Vibe? Even if we leave out the Korean-Foreigner debate, someone like Dimaga or Grubby? It's just that with 15 spots left, there are people going to be left out that deserve to be there more than Vibe/Stalife/MomaN. Don't get me wrong here, they're obviously all better than me, but you saying that they deserve to be there hands down is just not true.

As soon as those picks were announced it was obvious that the NASL has chosen to hold back on the Korean invites in order to stack the tournament in favor of NA and EU players. It's embarrassing how obvious they are going about it.
