If you just leave a terran alone to cc first like that the mule design will put you as a zerg in a terrible spot. You cant just drone hard and take a fast third either because the potential of 6+ rax worth of marines could be on the way any second, or super fast tech of 4 gasses. It wasn't as fun to watch as I expected, but still Morrow did the right thing. Jinro did the right thing by bunker rushing in the second game. The placement caught Morrow with his pants down, and that was the game. Same thing. Greed should be punishable, or else its just stupid. Some say Morrow almost came back when running over those unseiged tanks, but it didn't really matter, he was still way behind.
the point was morrow doing the same thing all 3 games. It wasn't a response to anything he just tries to baneling bust every game. CC first? baneling bust. 2-rax opening? baneling bust.

Man today was SOOO entertaining !!
I missed MC vs Ciara but seeing 2:0 I can image how that went. All the other series... WOW
best SC2 Ro32 in any tournament so far allready, by far
and mousesports having such a good day today

Those weren't some blind all in dice rolls. Morrow scouted cc first, reacted accordingly, and won the games with little effort.
Game 2, morrow fell behind early game and that's not a good position to be in for any zerg player on this planet. Morrow played his best and super solid jinro didn't let him back in the game.

Artosis said that multiple times during GSL so for gods sake plz stop saying bullshit. It's not an all-in if you can do that much damage with it and got two bases with a shitton of drones to back it up. The definition of an allin is that it requires you to do dmg. A big portion of allins are guaranteed some dmg, but that still makes them allin.
It really annoys me that people think 2rax is allin or in some way comparable to 4gate,3rax(with addons) or similar, since 2 rax is only done to force zerglings. For a zerg to straight up loose to it, he needs to be pretty terrible.

This just shows how this game is too much about chances and all in and not as skill centered as WC3 and SCBW. I'm very disappointed at SC2.
But if it's overpowered against FE builds and you can do it after you scout a FE, why do terrans make fast expansions? It would be really really dumb not to banelingbust if it's so overpowered.
So yeah, Morrow played good because he chose the right strategy after scouting his opponent. If you are right, Jinro played bad because he made a far too risky strategy.

What did you have to do to get on that list? :O
I entered my results according to the instructions on 14th March but I'm not on it.
Not the end of the world i guess, just curious....

It's not about whether they could execute it. It's about whether they could choose to do it. You're not including strategy in skill. Terrans in major tournaments often do FEs that don't have hellions or siege tanks and yet somehow they don't all lose. So either you're wrong and it isn't a clear win or isn't easy to execute, or the fact that it's so strong is something that most zergs haven't figured out. Either way, give Morrow some credit.
That said, it feels nice to have a zerg player's wins being discounted and blamed on imbalance for once, rather than always terrans (though I bet Morrow is feeling like he's cursed...).

The only potential that these game showed is Morrow's potential to be more aggressive than Idra. In most of Idra's games, he is looking to play a long macro game; preferring not to Baneling bust and go for the earlier win. Morrow is great, but in no way does it show that he >Idra.

Nothing can stop the rise of MC now.

ClouD is the Idra for Terran, it's hilarious

Seems like I opened internetz since there seem to be so much trashtalk and whining.
Well played MorroW I surely was not expecting that, but hell if terran decides to go CC first you gotta punish him the same way Terrans punish Zergs.
Also I admire White-Ra's playing and as much as I hate MC the way I hate idrA, I gotta say he's the king of protoss and I bet he will be top 2 easily.
TL;DR

Jinro should've put the barracks behind the engineering bays, not in front of them. When the 2nd wave came by, he had to rebuild the racks as a result. Having to rebuild a wall of e-bays would've been better since they're cheaper and build faster.

damn sad to see the local boys out, but the battle for the second place is wide open. Its everyone's second place right now. Awesome tournament so far, there is really some drama

This thread is fucking disgusting, last time I read a LR thread.
Morrow played very well and most definitely deserved the win. Jinro made a mistake by going for such greedy builds and was punished for it.
But no the fanboys on here can't see that. Whine, whine, OP, cheese, whine, whine, do anything possible to downplay Morrow's achievement. It's a fucking disgrace.

I am so sad Jinro lost. Morrow played well though.
If Jinro just had moved out a marine once in a while he whould have seen the banelings comming.
|
Im getting annoyed by people that call Morrow a one trick pony, I guess that they're all Jinro fans but come on stop complaining. Morrow won because he reacted perfectly. Doing a CC first is asking for a baneling bust. All the people claiming that Morrow is bad should get lost, your ruining the community.
gg wp by Morrow.
