'There's no way Jinro would have lost if it wasn't for the latency.' Then Jinro the great guy he is came on here and said the latency was fine. 'It must be the latency, there can't be any other explanation. They couldn't quite simply have just played better on the day.' It's hugely disrespectful to the other players that play and beat them. Basically devaluing their great achievement.

Can't believe Fruit lost game 2. That was truthfully amateurish. His transition into mutas was truely forced out, and it didn't work out. IMLosirA would have disposed of Thorzain, but i guess that inviting a superstar was the better choice for the viability of the tournament. Oh...and Fenix played pretty badly. Bad multitasking on game 2. Like he couldn't handle the size of the map. Looking forward tomorrow, to see Huk and Mr Ming Chul destroy his opponent.

If players in Korea lose it's because of the lag, if they win they are even more gosu because they had to beat the lag aswell! - at least according to popular opinion in this thread.

Yeah, it's kind of dumb... This is totally anecdotal, but I live in Japan and played on the NA server last night -- the lag really isn't any worse than usual. And it's actually not that bad, either. Moreover, the logic that the earthquake would have had any effect on undersea Internet cables doesn't really hold up in my brain either. Virtually all of the damage from this earthquake was caused by tsunamis, not the earthquake itself, and presumably undersea cables are not affected by tsunamis (which are essentially huge floods)...

For instance getting his units caught in the middle of the map with FF,the vikings on ground vs colossi in game 3, and also not microing marauders in game 2. If this is a latency issue, I can really see it costing someone a game in a crucial moment. I'm not sure who was the higher seed, but they alternate servers, so Boxer couldn't have experienced lag in both games 2 and 3.

I just got home from work and I'm very excited to spend my evening watching these games. Although I've already seen the results, I'm definitely gonna watch the FruitDealer game first.

But to be fair, that's directed at the thread in general and not you in particular.

I find it surprising that an ocean earthquake could disrupt undersea lines. However...
