Its too bad he'll have to play MC so soon, that guy seems unbeatable. Hopefully Tyler will ruin my bracket though.

Is MC's PvP as good as his PvZ and PvT?

If I remember correctly, he hasn't lost a single PvP game in GSL until now.

Probably better, actually.

Check TLPD. 84% winrate, 1 loss in the last 10 PvPs.

Again people only talk about lag, if a Korean loses a game.

I hope this won't be the case in NASL.

Of course they will. Which is one of the main problems with people playing from Korea.

I play on both the Korean and US server.. and I do notice a slight lag when playing on the US. I'm no pro.. so while I don't think it effects me much I'm sure it may be different for pro players. I do, on occasion experience huge lag spikes which really mess up my builds >.<.. that being said I don't think FD lost due to the lag.. I hope he didn't take his opponent lighlty and go drinking before the match ㅠㅠ .

A lot of MCs PvP games were pretty crappy though, he basically just 4 gated all his wins and the opponent was being to greedy. Tyler definitely won't make the same mistake as them

isn't 4gate the metagame in PvP currently in Korea? I thought the current mentality was that if you dont 4gate, you lose. At least that what i remember in a Haypro interview article awhile ago

Yeah, that's pretty much what you hear from everywhere about korean PvP, MC is not really to blame when 4gating, it's probably the safest thing to do as long as you have proper unit control...

He hosted one of the games so lag can't be completely blamed for his losses.

all games were on NA.

so the question is EU -> NA latency vs KR -> NA latency and it seems like the latency and the recent earthquake might have a part as mentioned by boxer's gf

kr to na vs na to eu is at least twice as much delay for kr/na

hmmm that sucks. Is there a reason why TSL doesn't alternate btwn EU/KR servers like they do for NA/KR games instead of proxying the NA server? It seems one player will always have an advantage in this case.

This. It's alot easier for someone to look strong when they're playing lower tier players.

KR/EU is impossible to play with lag

I think people need to understand that significant lag will negatively impact decision-making, and the two aren't completely independent. It's not like one can play perfectly as if there's no lag and that automatically translates to the most optimal play with lag. It's quite saddening that Korean players have to deal with this difficult issue.

I think we should wait and see what the people who actually know anything about this, eg. the players or perhaps the TL staff, have to say, if they have anything, before we go jumping to conclusions about lag. Remember, it is very possible that Fruitdealer simply got outplayed and that Boxer just was the worse player in his Bo3.

Yeah I mean even Trickster 4 gated in the last GSL and he's known for not using it. At the top levels in Korea it really does seem like one of if not the only viable strategy in PvP.

Jinro's TvP is bad. MC's PvP is not bad.
