2 sec delay is absolutely ridiculous to try and believe, i just went to austrailia on a trip and got 300ish ping with a tunneling service. 2k ms is 6-7x that and korea is a few thousand miles closer.
Ignore my opinions I am bad

Tyler beat Jinro, like 2 days ago.

Jinro's TvP is bad. MC's PvP is not bad.

Not to bad to beat mc handily a couple of gsl's ago. Mc's pvp is truly strong though, z and t he is just ff abusive.

all games were on NA.

so the question is EU -> NA latency vs KR -> NA latency and it seems like the latency and the recent earthquake might have a part as mentioned by boxer's gf

kr to na vs na to eu is at least twice as much delay for kr/na

hmmm that sucks. Is there a reason why TSL doesn't alternate btwn EU/KR servers like they do for NA/KR games instead of proxying the NA server? It seems one player will always have an advantage in this case.

Oh, come on. Playing on the NA server as a neutral server for a match between an EU and a NA player is the best choice there is. The player from EU faces a significant delay as I'm sure players will vouch for. Even if the delay for the player from KR is slightly higher, there is no fairer option to be made. The only difference is that EU players are generally more experienced with playing with delay. This is something that should have entered the preparation of players from the KR server, and is not the fault of the tournament organisers.

Further, BoxeR's girlfriend's claim of 2 second delay is surely an exaggeration. Just count 1... 2... This level of delay is almost impossible in modern day gaming servers. And how understandable is it that one's girlfriend will blame an external factor for one's loss or difficulty (and do so with embarassing exaggeration)? That's certainly happened to me back when I was playing football and tennis, and it's just a silly emotional response.

Urm, how about instead of being ungrateful you just wait until they get the VODs up.
They did a great enough job with the stream so don't make stupid demands like that :/

If you're interested you can watch the VODs with Korean commentary here:

http://ch.gomtv.com/404/28397/414281

That's what I did, I'm too impatient to wait for the English commentary to be put up

Wash out your sandy vagina and just wait patiently for the vods.
The staff is working their hardest to provide us the VODs ASAP, you should thank them for taking their time to actually provide us the VODs for no charge at all.

No need to be brash about it, pretty sure they'll get it up ASAP. Its less than 12 hours since the event ended.

Don't be an ungrateful brat.. Sorry not everything is completed to your schedule; noone expects you to do anything, sleep when you like, wake up when you like.. But around here you don't get to act like king of the world with your mammoth 3 post history. The VODs will be up when the TL staff get them up.. You know after running TSL, dealing with disconnect issues, managing a professional team, moderating the website and dealing with trolls like you..

Patience is a virtue

yeah your response doesn't address my question at all. according to your logic, matches between NA and KR should be proxied through EU which is obviously not the case. The most reasonable explanation at this point would be that external connections to EU servers are slow for everybody so they avoided it entirely.

And lets talk about "embarassing exaggeration" and "silly emotional response". I still remember your atrocious post from the GSL finals thread.

I'm so tempted to report you. Be more grateful loser. TL is bringing this to us for free; be glad we're not getting charged. GSL has VODs up faster but you also actually have to pay GOM to watch most of those VODs.

Respect the site or just gtfo

I thought Thorzain was nothing special b4 the TSL, but he played really really well! He's got a new fan! :D

And for the record, I'm one of the 5 persons Chill was referencing to : I picked him to win in my bracket predictions! hehe Too bad he's up against Tyler next...

That is the last time I bet on fruitdealer. Every single time I bet on him I lose my liquibet, lol.
Be versatile, know when to retreat, and carry a big gun.
