It is reminiscent of how Fruitdealer made it to the finals of GSL1. Fruitdealers quarter and semifinal games he did some retarded shit and it took people off guard. Then in the finals he played godly.

Its unfair to imply that JulyZerg doesn't deserve to be in the finals as much as MC does. Before NesTea won a GSL, everybody thought Fruitdealar was the best Zerg; before MC won a GSL, everybody thought Genius was the best Protoss; before MVP won a GSL, everybody thought Jinro was the best Terran. Even the "best" have to start somewhere.

If other zergs aren't as aggressive is because they aren't confident enough in their ability to make it work, while NesTea doesn't do it because he's confident in his ability to hold any early pressure. The truth is July has been playing to his strengths in a beautiful way, outclassing his opponents constantly. Many people here are assuming there is only one "correct" way to play starcraft, which is just not true and has never been. July has shown he can play decently in every possible way, and he's showing early game actually exists for zerg as more than a defensive/powering stage. Players like Idra should take something from these strategies, as getting this early game advantage with aggression allows for insane macro explosions in mid-game (152 vs 42 supply anyone?)

He's saying that no one ever thought he was the best. After all, he didn't go anywhere in the GSL until the 3rd season.

I'd go further and say that july is giving all zergs more confidence in being agressive. Man For months we've been brainwashed into playing defensive and passive, constantly having to follow the choices of our opponents in terms of tech etc. Keeping T and P on the edge constantly seems like a lot of fun, and im sure im not the only zerg to think that.

Douillos France. March 13 2011 01:58. Posts 270 PM Profile Quote # What makes me laugh, is that MC 4 gated his way through the 2 last rounds and people are giving july shit for his play -.- 4gate is pretty standard play for pvp so it's not like MC cheesed his way through. this finals could be the best to date... i think this is the first time when the two best players both made it to the finals IMO.
