First game July 7-pooled against a FFE on Scrap Station and won easily, second game Anypro went for some idiotic stalker/phoenix combination that died to mass roach/corrupter, third game July went for some weird muta/corrupter/ling/hydra combination that died to mass stalker/colossus, fourth game Anypro went FFE on XNC and got destroyed by ling/bling into roach.

looks easy. all zerg needs to do nowadays seems to be denying the f(f)e
All what KT currently needs is a Zerg and a second Terran

He does crazy shit. It is reminiscent of how Fruitdealer made it to the finals of GSL1. Fruitdealers quarter and semifinal games he did some retarded shit and it took people off guard. Then in the finals he played godly.

I enjoyed watching those games - especially the cannon rushes; funny stuff.
But then I am a zerg.

FFE has always been a bad choice not only nowadays

Its unfair to imply that JulyZerg doesn't deserve to be in the finals as much as MC does.

Before NesTea won a GSL, everybody thought Fruitdealar was the best Zerg; before MC won a GSL, everybody thought Genius was the best Protoss; before MVP won a GSL, everybody thought Jinro was the best Terran. Even the "best" have to start somewhere.

I'm pretty sure everyone knew that MVP and MC were the best even before they won a GSL.

Some of us do. He's right up there with MVP.

Just like only Boxer can make a Marine SCV rush look cool, not many people can make a 6pool look cool (though, it wasn't nearly as suspenseful as idra v jinro 6pool.)

To whomever says July's decision making isn't good: You're just not watching the game close enough. If there's one aspect in which July has excelled is in his decision making. He has been able to make the most out of every situation by using non-standard strategies and aggression.

If other zergs aren't as aggressive is because they aren't confident enough in their ability to make it work, while NesTea doesn't do it because he's confident in his ability to hold any early pressure. The truth is July has been playing to his strengths in a beautiful way, outclassing his opponents constantly. Many people here are assuming there is only one "correct" way to play starcraft, which is just not true and has never been. July has shown he can play decently in every possible way, and he's showing early game actually exists for zerg as more than a defensive/powering stage. Players like Idra should take something from these strategies, as getting this early game advantage with aggression allows for insane macro explosions in mid-game (152 vs 42 supply anyone?)

July has really impressed me with the speed of his growth. I remember watching his code A last season and thinking it was no where near Code S level. And now he's here in the finals. Wow.

hydraden is not saying that Jinro isn't good. He's saying that no one ever thought he was the best. After all, he didn't go anywhere in the GSL until the 3rd season.

I'd go further and say that july is giving all zergs more confidence in being agressive. Man For months we've been brainwashed into playing defensive and passive, constantly having to follow the choices of our opponents in terms of tech etc.
Keeping T and P on the edge constantly seems like a lot of fun, and im sure im not the only zerg to think that.

Zergs can be aggressive but other races are going to learn to be defensive.

4gate is pretty standard play for pvp so it's not like MC cheesed his way through.

this finals could be the best to date... i think this is the first time when the two best players both made it to the finals IMO.

I think before MVP won... we considered MarineKing to be the best Terran, but MVP was ranked 1st in Korean Ladder and I think AliveFoU was the 2nd ranked on the ladder (both terrans).

Thus, we were never surprised by MVP winning.
