Absolutely, but his past performance in a different game shouldn't come into consideration. He has played over 2800 ladder games so it's not as if he is just now unlocking his potential. I very much like July, but it's hard to cheer for him due to his current playstyle.

I ve been reading a lot of ranting against july, FFS he puts on the most entertaining games, the guys a f***ing legend. This will be the best final IMO (next to Nestea vs Marineking).

And that idea of being aggressive ended up more or less incorporated in standard play ?
That many of the best ZvTer in bw were extremely aggressive ? That Bo5s are an extremely psychological affair ? (a lesson July learned from Oov btw)

It's not the aggression that's the issue; it's that he overdoes the aggression, his builds doesn't seem smooth and his decision making in general isn't good. It also seems to rely rather heavily on your opponent making mistakes. It would be great if such aggression was viable a zerg, but I'm not convinced. Definitely not as a standard playstyle. 6 pools and baneling busts also produce extremely unentertaining games.

I think this thread shows, kind of, the difference between the people who were here for BW "in the old days" and the newer people who came here because of SC2 :p. I think Julyzerg will be 200% prepared and will at least put up a nice fight. He's July ffs.

Well, you see, this GSL protoss has 3 players in the Ro4 and terran has none. We can't have that. Ro4 needs to be at least 50% terran but preferably 75% terran at all times like previous GSLs, then the game is balanced.
Lol funny enough, almost all the terrans with the best past performances in GSL got knocked out by zergs and other terrans (MVP, Nada, Clide - July) (MKP - SC) (Ensnare - Lyn) (Rainbow - Jinro) (TOP - Nada)
But protoss is OP. Not players underperforming or issues with adjustments to the new maps which arn't ridiculously terran favored like the old ones. Protoss OP, clean and simple. Gotta fix that, maybe after amulet gets removed things will settle back down to no toss players making it into the Ro4 again  .
