While moon is getting better, i'd dare to say that its hard to judge based on the competition hes facing in this tournament... seems like Squirtle has been completly off this week, maybe jet lag?.

Anyways, this tournament will be clearly won by ace, as there are only zergs left :D

+ Show Spoiler +
Huk's 3rd game vs revival has to be proof of how broken the M/u is, even without Colossi. Templars force the zergs to only produce roaches (as hydras suck vs storm), immortals pwn the roaches, and blink stalkers kill the remaining of units. Late game broodlords completly get owned by blink stalkers, and ultralisk get owned by immortals with the help of tanking zealots.

+ Show Spoiler +
Huk's 3rd game vs revival has to be proof of how broken Revival's decision making skills are, managing to lose the game from a point of great advantage. After abusing how protoss can't leave his base after a forge expand and taking a 2nd early expo he screwed the game himself by making poor decisions in his choice of units. After a big engagement in the middle of the map where Huk managed to simultaneously micro his HT and blink stalkers perfectly, Revival gave him the game by streaming out groups of 3-4 ultralisks into Huk's group of 7 immortals. Had he kept building broodlords they would have completely owned huk's blink stalkers as blink stalkers are extremely ineffecient in dealing with large numbers of broodlords when the broodlords have any ground support at all (as shown by Huk's unwillingness to blink his stalker ball directly under the broodlords in the earlier engagement when he easily could have) not to mention by that time huk had very few blink stalkers and only 2 barely mining bases.

I like how the whole language debate started because someone said, don't they teach english in school in korea? It's funny, because although I took French for almost 7 years now I wouldn't want to speak it in an interview, especially if they offered a translator. Not only would I not be able to articulate exactly what I meant, but some people may feel self-conscious about their accent/poor English. However a lot of Europeans speak English routinely, but I think it is mostly because the continent is so condensed with many different languages and countries, people want to learn a universal language, where as Korea is just Korea. However some Koreans do have very good English, some have never learned any, and the same goes for Europeans.

If moon and moonglade can do it, IdrA can do. Squirtle didnt look very good today, would have preferred to see socke go through.

Idra vs Squirtle, the winner of that game goes onto play Moon.

In the other quarter finals it is Moonglade vs Morrow, the winner of that game goes onto play Ace.

Ace and Moon get bye's in their quarter's brackets as they came out on top of their groups.

Sorry I wasnt clear. I plan on watching the idra series live ( bo3 btw?) and I want to know what time I should wake up at to watch it. The IEM site doesnt give much detail, so I thought someone else might know which series is being played out first!

Entertaining enough!
Its funny to note that neither of these players have won a ZvZ series yet.
Based on the last 2 nights, I'm heavy on mOOnGLaDe, however, I AM a huge fanboi, being from Australia......
MorroW, who I also like, is more proven on the big stage.

I wonder if IdrA (who has been mannered to GLaDe thus far) has offered a helping hand to GLaDe in order to put egg on MorroW's face....

Sorry, MorroW, but.. Here's hoping!
Play the games!

Can you rap in French or Spanish? I'm almost positive that in America they teach their kids Spanish or French in school. I mean my friend is over there doing just that.

No need to get offensive about this, i've spoke 3 languages when i graduated 12th grade, and i was studying a 4th one, which i still do, it's common, in Europe at least, by no means am i specially dedicated to learning languages. I find it really strange Korean pros barely speak any english. My 4th language (German) is better then the english of most progamers i've heared.
Actually if you care, you can explain why isnt learning English, or other foreign languages popular in Korea, instead of trying to be sarcastic

If you wanna hear my FOB experience, here you go.
I learned English in Korea about 7~8 years, and moved to United States for some bad reason.

And, I could not speak any shit of what I learned in this country.
It's not that I don't remember any grammar or vocabulary.
It just doesn't come out of mouth because I am not sure if what I am saying is correct or not.
And then what I knew suddenly wiped out of my head; and I become speechless.

They don't teach us how to communicate in English; we learn to solve English problems.
We are learning English to survive in Korean Society because Colleges Universities and Companies require us to know English more than Americans know; however, I never ever once thought that we are, at least I am, learning English to speak.

you know, some people are able to apply what they learned. don't quite understand what u are trying to say by solving english problems. they teach grammar and vocabulary. if you are unable to form sentences with them then its your fault. and stop being so mad bro

Solving English problems = taking English skill exam.
You are in foreign country, and try to speak in their language, which has completely different grammars, letters, pronunciation, that you never used in normal communication.
Think that is easy, huh?
It is not easy as it seems, even though you have knowledge about the language.

solving problems = grammar + vocab that alone is all you need to start forming sentences.
I was a korean immigrant too bro, and shit i learned in hakwons and all helped when I came over in 5th grade. shit, they didnt even teach english when I went to kookminhakgyo during my days. that's like 14 years ago, the bar for english taught in krn schools is probably much higher now.

Maybe I'm watching the wrong games here...but from what I'm seeing, these games really are showing the division between Korean and foreigner. Yes there are always exceptions (ie. squirtle having trouble today, or jinro becoming a superstar in korea), but it seems like the overall skill gap is widening and fast. Does it not say something that 5/6 of the finalists have played in the gsl/trained in korea? That and the fact that the majority of those players are considered mediocre players in korea. I dunno about you guys but it worries me to see the best of the west being dominated by the least of the east (hey that rhymes =D)
