I'm not saying TLO should or shouldn't be allowed to play, but was there ever any discussion on this situation? A qualifying point earner is in the same situation as someone who won a TLOpen, really. A winner isn't allowed to participate in the later TLOpens because all they'd be doing is eliminating possible competition. I imagine that this scenario was probably just never considered (which is proven out by how close the points are and how complicated the ladder scenarios are). | ||

The better position you have on the points list, the better seed you get in TSL. There is no reason for him not to be allowed to play, when he can benefit as much as the other top spots from getting 1st, and not 4-5th on the points ranking. | ||
