Edit for those who didn't/couldn't see. Hyperdub basically did an early bio poke, then tried a banshee harass and then sat on 1 base for 15+ minutes while sitting outside MCs base, never expanded, never attacked. Eventually MC attacked when he had a few colossus.

Gosu Gamers had a link in their report too..I dont wanna say it but really looks fishy ^^ Hope its not, kind leaves a damn bad taste if true. + Show Spoiler + MC vs. Hyperdub Do teammates throw matches? Probably not but that explanation seems as likely as any for the strangest match in a long time. From http://gosugamers.net/starcraft2/news/14694-gomtv-gsl-code-s-ro32-day-1-recap So sad that IMMvp lost..I just dont get it, 4-0 in Jan and now out of the RO16 is it?! I cant believe he won by fluke..i dont get it!

FE into baneling bust, MVP lifted his rax just as the banelings came, but it didn't matter that much because July was suprised and mismicroed them back allowing MVP to reland them. Still it allowed 2-3 more banelings in than if it hadn't happened. Mostly MVP just wasn't ready for the bust at all. It actually did matter. As the raxx land, MvP started building techlabs/reactors. A single banelings blew up the wall and July sudently found himself with 4/5 banelings inside the base of MvP. So it was a pure lucky moment... That was some kind of ladder type cheesy all-in that would work 1 out of 10 times versus a normal player and 1 out of 50 times against MvP. He got that one... Hope he loses in the next round by a mile. MvP could have played it safer/scouted better. If you don't expect cheese/non-standard play in a tiebreaker game where you are the huge favorite then your gamesense is lacking. His build left him vulnerable to that kind of strat, he's got only himself to blame. Don't get me wrong, there's a bit of luck involved in every game and in every play, but blaming luck everytime a lesser player gets the win by playing agressively is silly, that would mean any kind of BO win/loss is pure luck.

At the same time, this kind of reaction makes him look super weak. Look, bad beats happen in Starcraft. Sometimes rock beats scissors. But to cry about it? Sad.

When you see a team lose the superbowl, they cry. Crying is normal when you just lost your chance at taking another championship.

A zerg off two bases, making lings, without even one queen making ... if that bust doesn't work, you are dead. Much more all in than the gameplan in the first game. It did work though - and right at the 6:00 mark basically. Perfect execution. If he had scanned his main, and poked the expo with a SCV, he would have known. Awesome play by July.

BTW i am sad July didn't beat MC and MVP ended up being eliminated , because i wanted both July and MVP to advance , but if i had to pick 1 of them ... July sure as hell is my favourite SC player of all time .

Well anyway, I looked at the vod (work during stream), and looking at hte production tab - no queens, just lings, and as a zerg player, I got really excited because I've never considered that (must hit 30 sec before other 2 base busts with normal play, at least). ... need to try out on ladder. Hehe!

I just hope July makes it far, else him winning MVP will be one of the worst things happening in this GSL. I hope July and MVP meet in the GSTL again, revenge is always sweet. Kinda offtopic, but does anyone know of any BW games where a dominating player got knocked out in earlier rounds by cheesy builds?
