Here's another idea... stop speculating about EG's financial situation when it comes to sending players to tournaments. Unless one of you has a piece of inside information, all you're doing is talking out or your ass. IdrA didn't go, guess what, neither did Jinro. This conversation literally provides nothing, absolutely nothing.

I only asked because 3000 euro is 4000 USD, which is not a "small tourney". It's bigger than MLG and almost IEM size.

Also, a number of europeans who go to these small tourneys racked in 15-20k according to the prize winnings list...

It seems like you can either pray to win a GSL, or fly around europe/USA and try to win easier tourneys. At least we are getting TSL and the new improved MLG :D

I agree he should have a higher winrate. I dunno, the only argument against idra going is the money one. Perhaps liquid guys can share some costs like accomodation so it reduce some financial pressure, or EG don't want to pay Idra's travel ?
Idra said he enjoyed a lot going to the MLG he won, and that he wants to attend the most foreign tourneys he can, so I guess the reason he's not there is not up to him.

A trip from Korea to US is more expensive than Korea > EU. So money is not an issue. If Greg wanted to go to Assembly, he would have applied for it to get an invite, like all other players did. And EG is not going to say no, if he think he's got a shot at winning it.

Of course money is an issue. There is a budget to abide by.
Mouz manager said in his interview that they had to pick what was it 3 players to send to assembly.


He meant that since EG has no problem sending IdrA to US everytime, there is no money issue with sending him to EU since Korea-EU is cheaper.

Makes sense for EG. Prize pool isn't that great. What makes this tournamnet so good though is the number of great players in it.

They are not on the same team, teams can have different budgets and different priorities and that's probably the case for EG and Liquid, too. In fact TLAF isn't in it for profit, but because they like to show their support for esports (are fans of the game).
