Why does idra never go to to these euro tourneys?

3000€ for first prize, I guess even if he could have a very high win %, it's still like 700€ for travel + 300€ on food/accomodation, that means he must be sure to be at least 2nd, it's a gamble (not huge, but still)
It's my guess anyway.

Yet ret and huk go? IdrA has a just as high (prob higher) chance of winning than them..

I'm pretty sure the liquid guys went there because it is a "fun" tournament and because they can meet this way, not because of the prizepool. IdrA however must have been discouraged because of the really low prizepool.

I'm not sure, but I think he just doesn't want to. He did go to MLG DC & Dallas which he was excited for because it took place in the US.

He's got a big showmatch coming up where he only has to win 1 series to win with no travel time or expenses to practice for. I wouldn't go either.

Huk did the best interview with goodgame.ru. He realized that Miker has a subpar english and took charge of the interview right away.
Greatly enjoyed it.

I agree he should have a higher winrate. I dunno, the only argument against idra going is the money one. Perhaps liquid guys can share some costs like accomodation so it reduce some financial pressure, or EG don't want to pay Idra's travel ?
Idra said he enjoyed a lot going to the MLG he won, and that he wants to attend the most foreign tourneys he can, so I guess the reason he's not there is not up to him.

From the sounds of it EG are preparing something big (incontrol's been on about it for ages). Maybe they don't currently have the sponsorship money to bring Idra from Korea. It's easier for Demu and grubby since they're EU based anyway. Notice how no american EG's made it either. Makes a lot of sense that way.

He has declined a lot of online tournament invites in the past. He's just a very intense guy, very focused.

Yeah but they're european, traveling to Finland is not expênsive for a european, even less expensive for north europeans like grubby and demu.

Who are both citizens of Europe, which is pretty close to Finland, wouldn't you agree?
