I think none of it was live, I think the lot was pre-recorded into segments and played seperately between the clash of the titan splash screen.
Don't really care though. Good series, great fun to watch.

Guy just mouths off yet doesn't do anything decent himself considering he has been in korea now for what seems like forever... Be more clueless. Seriously. Being known as one of the top 3 (worst case scenario, 4?) zerg players in the world clearly means he's not decent. Clearly he's got no skills. Edit: Also, by insulting IdrA you're merely diminishing Jinro's accomplishments as well. If he's so bad, Jinro should've completely ran over him without a sweat. Don't be ignorant. Maybe im saying Idra should step back and take a look at how good some of these guys actually are before attacking them himself. I'm not saying Idra is bad, im saying Jinro is that good. Everyone else is sayign Idra is the shiz Find one comment IdrA has ever used to attack Jinro or say he wasn't one of the top terrans? IdrA has said repeatedly how good he feels Jinro is. He has insulted many players he feels are of lesser quality, but that doesn't include Jinro BECAUSE he doesn't feel he is a lesser opponent.
Never said he insulted Jinro...
I am generalising that he pays out on a lot of people and yet he is up and down himself with his gaming.
I'm a Z user and hope he does well.

If you're referring to the last question, Jinro is an amazingly nice guy and dodges the "best foreigner" question every time, but when you're rolling over somebody 8-3 in high profile and high money games, it's not "close". He's a class above Idra at the moment. The very last game of the showmatch showed it better than any other.
There very last map showed how close the two are. IdrA harassed his balls off and played well... but forgetting baneling speed is huge. People have lost games over and over again in BW and SC2 from forgetting a single major upgrade.

To paraphrase IdrA: Jinro took the time to learn terran macro style and now he's reaping the rewards. Not quite word for word but pretty much what he said.
Massive respect for both of them though. Thanks for a good set of games.

About the koreans......
"So we're considering having Koreans in the league as well, but probably capping them off at five or something like that. But if they were to play, unless they physically flew to a place that had a better latency for a North American server, they would have to deal with problems of time zone restrictions but also latency, and the same is true for Europeans and South Americans alike, obviously to varying degrees."

You should've added (outside Korea) Koreans might want a piece of the action for that kind of money. But if $100,000 is the prize pool, GSL's "big" tourneys that award $87,000 to the top player alone still top it. Whoever is sponsoring this will clearly be able to pay for a smoother production and presentation than the announced announcement. Anyways, how exciting! They need to clone John if there ends up being a Korean stream. GG Jinro. Your a bit behind, the GSL prize pool is half what it used to be. Top player makes a little under 50k. But only in the regular GSL code S tournaments, add team league, blizzard cup, and like 3 more different competitions several times a year, and you have an insane prize pool, it's something like 4 times as much as NASL. Not saying this as a bad thing for NASL, it's actually a huge prize pool, but people should try to stop comparing GSL and NASL, they are long ways apart, although I have high hopes for NASL.
I don't follow your post. You just compared the prize pools of 3 separate tournaments to 1. The GSTL prize pool is largely insignificant... it means nothing to any of the individual players on said teams. Blizzcon is on a different continent and is not considered the same entity as the GSL. Your confusing Blizzard officially sponsoring the GSL and them being the exact same organization/tournament.

Would be awesome if NASL was done with a live audience etc similar to GSL.
I'm in Australia so I can't exactly benefit from it, but of course would be sweet for the yankee boys.

Anyone know the flight time NA --> Korea?
Just wondering how viable two big leagues would be running at the same time with all the players. Obviously at the moment that's just a dream as there isn't enough money in e-sports. Maybe soon!

Not like you should be worried about winning anything.

I'm glad Geoff is focusing on his voice deflection. Maybe this will help him if this thing goes international and he has to transverse the globe.

That'd be cool if they got the SOTG cast + Idra/Tasteless/Artosis/etc. to cast the NASL.
|
I think NASL is a step in the right direction. Personally I find SC2 boring, but I've bought a ticket for every GSL so far, and will probably support NASL too, as I think the game can become something awesome after expansion(s) and the pros becoming better.
Until then I'll just watch and play BW(but still support SC2 esports economically).

Not POSITIVE but I think a flight from the east coast to Seoul is 14 hours or so.

Not at all. Your not even considering how big of landslide wins all of Idras have been, and how a a good portion of Jinros wins are on a razords edge. He himself admitted it, even Artosis agreed. Every rational person knows that, your letting your fandom get ahead of you.
