No commentator, no critic is better than any player from the sport that they commentate for, that has nothing to do with anything. Artosis as a commentator has every right to criticize someone when they don't perform up to even the lowest standards, that is part of his job. When a football player plays a crap game, they get eaten up by commentators, by the media, same with E-Sports, stop spouting out useless crap.

"I didn't prepare any builds for today" I don't know how anyone else feels about it but I would much rather have people who desire to be here, more then just showing up, be apart of the GSL. I think Leenock was over-confident and did not play his games well. (TBH, I don't think he prepared for LiveForever either?) If you cannot even beat someone who "didn't prepare any builds for today", you must've really choked hard.

Artosis/Tasteless' job is to keep the foreigners watching the GSL. They aren't going to do it by lying to us. This guy kind of said in his interviews that he didn't even really prepare for this match. Kind of sad! But Leenock had some very lackluster play :/

I have to say though, it sucks that leenock lost. But he lost to a noob that hardly even plays anymore. And its funny because everyone was hating on him.

He didn't play good the first game, but he played well in the next 2 games and won them Anybody in Diamond or Masters could have done what he did in game 2 and 3. Two base MM timings aren't the most difficult thing in the world. It was Leenoks fault for not stopping them.

The game shouldnt reward such braindead play. Stim pushes, 4gate pushes, roach rushes, its all bullshit that shouldnt work so easily. its always harder to defend then actually execute the attacks, which is the wrong way around. inb4 some 4gating retard quotes me and tries to defend his only build

Seems like a nice life. Never practice. Follow your heart. Win the Up-and-Down match. Make $1,500. Repeat FOREVER.

If you think so then I have nothing further to say to you. While leenock has showed that he is capable of epic games and well executed plays liveforever just further proved that he isnt code s material, just like his other matches have shown.

That said, I don't think LiveForever could have pulled the upset if he played Protoss or Zerg. Those races just don't have the same alpha strike and all-in power (except maybe 4Gate). In other words: unlike Protoss and Zerg, Terran is always dangerous, even in the hands of a lesser player. We've seen lots of "bad" Terrans advance far in the leagues, much more than Zergs or Protosses.

But can being good let you win. Yes. Also played well? Leenock screwed up with no banelings and a mis-scout of factory

I don't know what planet you live on or what politically correct channels you watch all the time, but athletes getting torched when they perform real bad is nothing out of the ordinary. If you push with 2 tanks, 8 marines and a medivac that far into the game, you deserve to be torched. That is diamond level play. You can whine all you want about this, it's you and perhaps two other people out of a hundred who have an issue regarding this. i quoted my resume to inform you of the fact that though the reality is that esports isn't obviously treated as a real sport, the community supporting it and the stations running it (OGN and MBC) are all treating it as one. My point is, the Koreans are doing their best to make it as professional as possible, so that they are comparable to any other sport. It would be nice if that vision was kept from all aspects, even the english casting. If this was a simple re-stream casting online, I really wouldn't care. I do enjoy their jokes and I do like to hear "real" thoughts instead of commentators trying to defend the terrible player because it's being casted on TV. But unfortunately, or rather quite fortunately, it's not. They are endorsed and employed by a company that wishes to have a professional image, and to have that respect. Of course it is true that the Korean casting is waaay too "nice". I've heard some casters go out of their way saying ridiculous stuff to hopefully have the other player not look as stupid. I'm not asking for that level of catering. I like the fact that Tastosis will sometimes be raw and real about it and just point out when people are playing down right bad, rather than coating it nicely. But honestly that one game was really crossing boundaries.
