Well, they didn't all in. Pretty newb if you ask me. /nts I think part of this is the racial difference in stylistic play- foreigners tend to favour the more macro heavy games whereas the korean metagame has (at least to me) always centred around early pressure- something that game did not have any of.

Jungle Basin is present 3 times in this group phase? So it could be that Idra has to play it again for the 3rd/4th place match? I would be steaming there

great game. a solid strategy for both, a few minor mistakes from idra. what's frustrating as a zerg is it feels like minor mistakes are more game ending than with t/p. but c'est la vie. best game from gsl in a long while.

It was a decent game, but if it had been two koreans people wouldn't really care all that much. Pretty standard slowpush terran denying the Zerg bases on a broken map Bit of an exaggeration by me, I think you put it better by saying "it was a decent game" but I'm rather happy to see a non cheese game that actually gets to 3 bases.
Oh, yes ,it was way above average in terms of enjoyability, but not super epic like Morrow vs Kiwi or something.
Now lets pray Idra still makes it out of the group

DOn't understand why the koreans think these foreigners suck... they didn't play perfect, but from what i've seen so far the koreans have quite a few shitty players competing..

Yes Jinro!!! That was awesome.

Jinro used a ridiculous map perfectly to his advantage. It's so easy for Terran to take a third on JB, and Zerg can't really go beyond three. There really isn't anything you can do except pray the terran plays poorly. Idra made no real errors in that game, but it doesn't matter. Can't get a 3d/4th running safely and terran just turtles up the middle to get a 3d IdrA flew his mutas into a bottleneck with a thor on each side of them, marines behind them and marines intercepting in front. That's a massive mistake and that's why he GG'ed
He GGd because he knew he didnt do enough dmg with his push and had less drones so no economic advantage.

Give me another unit combination that is as effective as the combination you mentioned vs. Terran.

Not even creep is powerful enough to protect 2 expos on opposite sides of the map Same goes for TvP. terran can't engage protoss anywhere because of all those stupid chokes(forcefields) PvT/PvZ on that map is incredibly favored for toss.

Everyone blames the map. I think he lost the game because he kept transfering his drones through the middle, when he should have had the rocks destroyed for a safe transfer. Idra played beautifully and Jinro as well. Jungle Basin is cramped. It's not a great map but it's not horribly imbalanced. Personally I'd like to see larger maps so that macro games can flow better. This will also help me vs Zerg players who say I only win because of map imbalance :D

Nothing against Idra, but I definitely wanted Jinro to win more. Really hoping for Jinro to 2-0 so I can go to bed.

idra has to beat ensare twice now right?
|
Very good tactic for the map. Just play defensively on your side and poke to those aweful positioned 3rd bases. Felt this was more a map win then a skill win, but still a very interesting match, tho not the funnest out there. Emotions running high tho, so im sitting on the tip of my bed watching this shit on my telly!

All I saw was a solid player playing solidly. GJ Jinro, IdrA, hopefully you get maps and buffs so you can show the world how good you are.

The most hilarious excuse I've heard yet.
Ensnare's going to make sure that doesn't happen anyway. =P

Idra is just a disappointment nowadays, go JINRO!

Hopefully IdrA can snare second spot... It was definitely a great game but I don't think it was better than SlayerSBoxeRs game on Shakuras Plateau - that one was epic... No, just no. I think you two are way too bias.
I think Clide v Leenock Game 3 on Shakuras was the best game.
