No really good maps give you an easy 4th, and even if they do, they give it to your opponent as well, so Jinro would have the same advantage he had against a 5th base. Jinro beat Idra at his own game (macro style), replacing his falling units with an intelligent composition and flawless positioning and decision making all game. He deserved it. What does this have to do with how idra lost that game?
Do you know how to read? I'm just baffled as to how you can't comprehend how this post relates to the match we Just saw.

Hey Zergs, if you think Jungle Basin was a miserable map now- wait until Jinro's turret placement catches on- and it will be impossible to use your mutas effectively.

Clide vs Leenock in GSL 3, Hyberdub vs. TLO in GSL 1, and Foxer vs. Kyrix in GSL 2 were all better than any game in this GSL so far. The one that came closest was Boxer vs. Hyberdub for sheer wow factor and entertainment value. Anyone who thinks the game we just saw was the most amazing games ever is blowing things way out of proportion.

It will be hilarious if Idra gets cheesed now and produces some new epic insult ))

So Idra lost and it was not due to his opponent being better......who knew.....what a shock!!!

How strong is Idra's ZvZ? (Just curious)

Then they all play against the opponent they didn't play against yet. The winner of that game goes through. And places(1,2,3,4) are divided by the face to face games.

Woulda been nice if it had been on meta or a diff balanced map.
The map certainly doesn't deserve all the credit. As someone else noted, Thors are a bit too rare in the GSL, and we saw why they shouldn't be. Jinro's army composition was as close to a perfect counter to IdrA's preferred Mutaling as can be expected.
Jinro's turret placement and was completely unforgiving. Marines and Thors well positioned. I was really amazed IdrA was able to do as much as he did with his Mutas. My Mutas would've just melted in 10 seconds.

This map is much better. Please deliver, Idra!

Well it's generalyl considered his weakest matchup. Not sure how great Check is though, so it's probably a flip

Oh, yes ,it was way above average in terms of enjoyability, but not super epic like Morrow vs Kiwi or something.
That series was seriously one of the most epic matches I've seen... especially the game on metal.

Apparently it's his favorite match-up now. I've seen him play it on his stream. He's gotten really good at it.
