Jungle Basin is cramped. It's not a great map but it's not horribly imbalanced.
Personally I'd like to see larger maps so that macro games can flow better. This will also help me vs Zerg players who say I only win because of map imbalance :D

Isn't zerg like 1-7 in ZvT in the last 8 games on JB? That is "horribly imbalanced."

Pretty sure it is his weakest MU. At least it used to be. He practiced a lot with Ret recently.

Too bad they had to play on a map where T can pretty much force the game to stay on 3 base vs 3base, since taking a 4th as Z when the T is camping out in the center is practically impossible.

Yeah. Jinro did really well to force the game into his favor. He didn't take any risks early, because he knew that if he got a PF in the middle, he could deny expos, defend, and starve Idra out. Well played.

Good game, disappointing that the result was determined by the map though. There wasn't really a clear winner until the limitations of the map came into play.

Man IdrA looks like he aged a good 5-10 years since we last saw him.

Theres only one logical conclusion to this.

He's been training in a Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

If FD vs BitbyBitPrime is one of those 8 games, then that's the only Zerg win on the map. HMmmmmmm...

He lost all those drones at 9 o clock, that cost the game -.-
Jinro made turrets like Flash so the mutas couldn't do enough of the harassing.
IdrA had to try to keep tank count low so Jinro couldn't push, in the meantime he should've somehow been able to get 4th and make drones, which is impossible.
For Jinro a small lead get snowballing so he never really had to attack.
Bad map for zerg, no question.

It's sad that Jinro will never really get credit for this win. "The map beat IdrA."

Woulda been nice if it had been on meta or a diff balanced map.

The map certainly doesn't deserve all the credit. As someone else noted, Thors are a bit too rare in the GSL, and we saw why they shouldn't be. Jinro's army composition was as close to a perfect counter to IdrA's preferred Mutaling as can be expected.

Jinro's turret placement and was completely unforgiving. Marines and Thors well positioned. I was really amazed IdrA was able to do as much as he did with his Mutas. My Mutas would've just melted in 10 seconds.

If you make as many turrets and use defensive thors on other maps, you give Zerg alot of time to expand/powerdrone as your main army will be much smaller and you can't pressure/attack as well.

Idra manage to hold a 3rd on JB, I mean, zerg are never allowed to hold their 3rd on this map.
But it's not enough, idra wants more bases, it's better dying trying to take a 4rth right ><
3 bases are enough for everything, he should have gone corruptors/broodlords ><
