Seriously? They probably haven't seen a proper macro game go the distance like this one did.
Man I hope they both advance, give em something to chew on.

I don't see how a competent Terran player could ever lose a game vs Zerg on that map.

Jinro gets to play Jungle Basin again vs Check, should see him in the ro16 I guess.
|
What map does IdrA play on next?
|
I agree. The epic match of Jinro vs Idra remains unfulfilled because of Jungle Basin. Let's hope for Shakuras next time.

If this keep up my liquibet is gonna be 100% tho it wouldnt hurt to see idra x clide or marine king just for fun =X

so wait, howd the match end? i saw a ling surround on a thor, then mutas fly by something then a gg

Halfway through the game I was wondering why Jinro didn't just push into Idra's third. His game plan was better though, take that central third and make it impossible for Idra to take a 4th. Game takes a bit longer that way but it seemed more safe. Then again, I didn't see the actual game

GO GO JINRO!
Hopefully IdrA can snare second spot...
It was definitely a great game but I don't think it was better than SlayerSBoxeRs game on Shakuras Plateau - that one was epic...

Thanks to IdrA and Jinro both for a pretty entertaining game. Entertaining games are a premium in the GSL.

Now, now...it's too early to celebrate.
But we can definitely tease Idra about it
Anyway, well played by both players. Although it seemed Idra was a little too passive with the mutas.

Even if Idra loses I can't see him going out to Check in the last game.
|
It wasn't the map, Jinro brilliantly denied IdrA the 4th and what we didn't see was nice snipe of drone transfer to the third. Only the glimpse of it, they talked about it tho.
|
in the second to last attack from jinro towards idras third he got all the drones that got maynarded and thats why third had close to no saturation there, probably the reason why he typed out with terrans high eco advantage and even bases its close to impossible to win as z

Idra just so predictable, mutaling/bling, I'm sure Jinro never saw that coming.

It was a decent game, but if it had been two koreans people wouldn't really care all that much. Pretty standard slowpush terran denying the Zerg bases on a broken map
Bit of an exaggeration by me, I think you put it better by saying "it was a decent game" but I'm rather happy to see a non cheese game that actually gets to 3 bases.

ZvT on JB requires extremely good decisions in terms of army movements and counter-attacks if Z wants to have a chance. That doesn't seem to Idra's biggest strength. On the other hand, T is extremely strong on JB with solid, methodical macro play, getting the third up and then starting to push towards Zerg's expansions. From what we've seen from him so far, that seems to be the kind of game Jinro excels at. I gotta give jinro the advantage on this map, but if any zerg should take it on jungle basin its idra. His mass muta style is really strong on this map and will probably end up being the only reason he can get a 3rd if any chance of getting a 3rd. I don't think getting his third up's going to be nearly as big a problem as securing a fourth once Jinro gets his third. Jinro hasn't really been the big 2 base attack type player so far.
i think you deserve it

Grats Jinro! Even though I am really rooting for Jinro and I am sooo happy he won, I feel a bit sorry for Idra. Hope he can make a comeback and advance either way. And of course that Jinro continues to roll

Because DQ is basically the shitty parts (for zerg) of LT and Steppes combined. Agreed. There is only one mid-late game match I can think of in all of the GSL where zerg wasn't getting run around- (FD in season 1 vs rainbow?). Even with a cross position spawn, the map architecture hates zerg.

Nice to see a high-level game with both players playing almost perfectly.
