Why are they talking like scrapstation is a map where 4 gate is so strong. Isn't it equally strong on all maps since distance don't matter on warpins?

I am not a protoss player, just asking.

There must be a way to hold the 4 gate on scrap....
Don't you guys thing the Immortal should not have been canceled? It would probably be sniped because it is slower thans the stalkers, but it was already on the way.

You have to go four gate on a map like scrap because of the wide ramp, just the way it is. You might be able to get away with 3 gate robo on a map where you can forcefield the ramp and have time to get an immortal out but generally it just seems like a four gate will win every time. The matchup is almost as stupid as zvz.

It's the ramp size. Too big for forcefields.

Scrap station's wider ramp makes it harder to use force fields to hold a 4gate

It's the wide ramp, on other maps you can forcefield it easily, on this map you need at least 2 perfect FFs I think

I wouldn't have canceled personally- immortals are great and if for no other reason than to allow myself more time (it would force some focus fire from the stalkers, giving me a little more time to micro against the zealots).

The ramp is massive, not easy to wall and sentries can't FF it off like you can on maps with a narrow choke.
