Just wanted to say great tourney from what I saw but wanted to give a special shout out to DJ Wheat! You are awesome man. Great commentating, you seem so down-to-earth, and dam classy. When people look at the cast they might only look at Day9 blindly, but to me you are the engine there that kept it going. Thanks for your hard work.

I was too tired to wait for qxc vs IdrA and to be honest i did not feel like seeing another one of my favorite zergs being demolished. But what do i see this morning - IdrA spanked qxc so hard I watched the VODs - amazing play by Greg, i should not have doubted his abilities! As someone else said, he seems to be on another level.
Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds!

Where are the VODs up then?

Sorry if it has already been asked but what is the song in the background of the Team EG clip where it starts with Incontrol looking like a total badass?

its " The Prodigy - O "

O? The title of the song is Omen I believe.

I hope everyone realizes that the laptop costs $1400 and that the prize money for 1st place was just $1000. It makes sense to make the final boss match hard. And like someone mentioned, Grack would be able to pick 2 maps anyway with losers pick in best of 5, plus he beat QXC on close position metal.

Final boss doesn't need to be fair. I think it's cool that IdrA gets an advange, and I'd be fine if he gets an even bigger advantage and defends the laptop 100x in a row. Then when someone finally beats him, it will really be worth celebrating.

Fantastic tournament. Great play from QXC and co., and the casting team of Wheat and Day9 was wonderful as always.

Too bad I had to go to bed, but congratulations to qxc. djWHEAT and Day9 - a great team as usual.
He's not the fastest zergling in the control group - Day9

God I'm tired today thanks to EG Master's. Totally worth it though, I wish I had stayed up for the IdrA game though, but I was dog tired boss. GG qxc!

So idra is better than qxc. I think we knew this beforehand, but it would probably not have been that one-sided if qxc would not have had to play four Bo5s on the same day, that must have been pretty exhausting (even if you're winning all the time).

On another note, the production value of this tournament was great. All those different virtual studios weren't really necessary, but I guess they were trying shit out. Props for the casters, that was a lot of casting within two days.

That much effort for "only" a 2000$ tournament... makes me wonder if the big EG-announcement Incontrol is always talking about has something to do with this. Looks a little bit like a "testrun" to me. Speculating is fun

Undoubtedly that is the conclusion that simple-minded people will come up with, yeah. Just like QXC is better than everyone else in the tournament, right?

I loved the awesome production quality; I've never seen a stream as HQ as this one, the (virtual?) room with day9 and djwheat looked really slick, too. Only the pulsating, bright EG in the top left was a bit distracting and djwheat and day9 were a little small in the room. Commentary was the best, as ever.

think that bigger impact on outcome than maps had the fact idra saw games vs machine and totaly knew qxc style

I like your ID, one should always name oneself appropriately.

i'm sure it had nothing to do with maps /s

Really that laptop final is boring to watch. 5 zerg favored map ... zzzzzz. Have Idra downvote 2 maps and qxc none, add a little bit of entertainment.

We've a bit more data than just this match to reach that conclusion

The greenscreen backgounds were so awesomely terrible

Here's a thought: Why doesn't EG release the specs the backgound image should have, and then make a community contest out of it. Switch through all the entries in the next cup and have viewers vote on the best one, and send a EG signed giant mousepad to the winner. Or something like that.
There are not doubt lots of 3D artists out there who would love to show off their skills and add a won contest to their resume. Win-win scenario.
