I mean when there is qualifiers and people can't make it - it is common that there are replacements both in e-sports and regular sports (see Eurocup 1992 denmark being eliminated in qualifiers but replace Yugoslavia and win the tournament).

You can make the point that a qualifier is different from the main tournament, however its still connected in the end and people who replace other players in qualifiers is common and not seen unfair despite giving them an advantage while doing the same in the main tournament is somewhat perceived as unfair...

In the end it is the decision of the admins and if there is no rule about it yet, they should add a clear rule to handle this things consistently in the future.

That's a good example.

It's kinda not....Tarson was supposed to play but couldn't and was therefore replaced by Adelscott. If there "were" qualifiers were Tarson "had" beat Adelscott, then this would be the example mentioned here.

But in the "actual" tournament this is not how it works, sorry but no.

Maybe you should stop acting like a fanboy and ashame us germans, cause you are the only one whining here.

I am German too and i love TLO, but it isn´t the right decision.

I agree. I dont think the players are what matter, its just that tlo is given an unfair advantage by being let back in after he was out, which no one else will get.

What happens if the player wins the game but gets injured before he signs all this official paper stuff and decides to not sign them? (I'm no tennis expert but I know that in most sports you have to sign some papers to confirm official match results)

Well there a no official papers here (or are there?)

I don't think anyone is hating on TLO, it wasn't his call after all. But the tournament just turned real dodgy. And I'm not fanboying due to nationalities, hell, I'm rooting more for Socke (sorry MorroW). This shit is just really, really bloody stupid.

But there is a rule about it. If you lose a BO3 in the loser's bracket you are eliminated from the tournament. That's it, period. There is no rule saying that if the player you played against leaves you get a second chance.

I don't know how it is done in this specific cup but in an online tournament Brat_Ok would need to report the game if he doesn't he does not get the win and is counted as non present.

Technicalities. I don't think anyone can argue that his win isn't valid, as it was casted and all.

I think BratOK would feel pretty bad winning against TLO only to kick him out of the tournament and give Morrow a freewin.

The admins makes the rules, there are no strict rules for all tournaments. MLG is the only tournament with extended series for example.

The best way to deal with this is have the rules ready before the tournament and if someone doesnt accept this, he shouldnt apply. However, if they do not have a rule for this, the admin has the right to decide. I also understand the decision. They want a lot of games to be casted and have TLO in the room. Obviously, it is not a good decision for Morrow.

I also think Morrow should get the free win.

But I dont think he has much reason to whine as a free win never is a deserved thing. And TLO is still easier to beat then Bratok. But if Morrow has a problem with the decision he should just talk to Take and the responsible admin, but not complain on a forum.

What if TLO beats MorroW, then TLO has to leave the tournament. Then MorroW is let back in, but Brat_Ok announces he can play again?

I mean Take and everyone there are awesome and really enjoying this tournament. Props to everyone involved but I can't help having this very bad sinking feeling about this TLO thing. Tech stuff was unfortunate but didn't give this feeling. This "something just went horribly wrong" feeling.

The players seem to get really angry when someone is lagging. I know it is annoying as hell but i mean TaKe and whoever is working with him made this tournament happen which is quite incredible so i would think they would be a bit more patient and happy that they can actually play in a tournament with really good prizes.

I guess because it is not only the Bratok/Morrow game that has to be postponed. If you start one game late, the whole Loserbracket has to wait
