I mean when there is qualifiers and people can't make it - it is common that there are replacements both in e-sports and regular sports (see Eurocup 1992 denmark being eliminated in qualifiers but replace Yugoslavia and win the tournament).
You can make the point that a qualifier is different from the main tournament, however its still connected in the end and people who replace other players in qualifiers is common and not seen unfair despite giving them an advantage while doing the same in the main tournament is somewhat perceived as unfair...
In the end it is the decision of the admins and if there is no rule about it yet, they should add a clear rule to handle this things consistently in the future.
But there is a rule about it. If you lose a BO3 in the loser's bracket you are eliminated from the tournament. That's it, period. There is no rule saying that if the player you played against leaves you get a second chance.
I don't know how it is done in this specific cup but in an online tournament Brat_Ok would need to report the game if he doesn't he does not get the win and is counted as non present.

If BratOK leaves after winning against TLO (which he did) then obviously the next match should be forfeited in favor of the opponent, aka Morrow. TLO was already eliminated. I don't know, I personally don't think freewins should be awarded unless it's absolutely unavoidable. It may be somewhat unfair to Morrow, but it also is to the players on the other half of the bracket if so. Feels to me this would be the lesser of the evils, since he should be playing against a "weaker" player in the end. Uh, they just awarded a free win to TLO True, but it's not quite as free since he actually had to play all 3 games in the end, as opposed to Morrow having to play none at all. Keep in mind that at that point TLO was out of tournament... Also ESL cheats ;P http://www.esl.eu/eu/sc2/1on1/homestorycup2/match/21092206/
PS.LOL at Take... "We have lots of time tomorrow so we can show some games then...."
15 minutes after he told BratOK that there wont be any games moved to tommorow.

Why can't they just postpone?
|
why exactly brat_ok quitted ? did they tell ?
|
giving a guy that LOST a freewin against a dude to whom he lost (cuz this dude wihtdrew after) , just makes no sense does it ?
yeah , it does not ...
with all respect for admins and TLO ofc but wow ... this is kinda wrong

when at tennis a player gets injured between games his next opponent (morrow) gets a freewin... its not giving the already-out player a new chance to win a tournament where he was already out..... :/ well its take.. he just does things before overthinking them...

maybe morrow should spend less time on whining in forums and play some practise games...
|
i think they decided too fast and didn't realize the situation well. morrow should be the one to get a win. they should understand if someone explained it to them what's up. but if they really want TLO to play again, there's nothing we can do about it.

ROFL wow Hasu a bit greedy there bro

rofl fail FF on the ramp, not blocking the lings

I don't think anyone can argue that his win isn't valid, as it was casted and all.

He couldn't play any more games tonight so asked if he could play his next games tomorrow and was told no.

Haha, I like how this has started becoming a Germany vs Sweden mudslinging contest. Not gonna bother to add more to this - Morrow will probably win anyways, and that'll be that.

Game over already for Hasu imo

had that forcefield on the ramp been tight it would've been over prolly

What happens if the player wins the game but gets injured before he signs all this official paper stuff and decides to not sign them? (I'm no tennis expert but I know that in most sports you have to sign some papers to confirm official match results)

Sooo, if Morrow and TLO won't play today, will they give Bratok his spot back?
