If BratOK leaves after winning against TLO (which he did) then obviously the next match should be forfeited in favor of the opponent, aka Morrow. TLO was already eliminated. I don't know, I personally don't think freewins should be awarded unless it's absolutely unavoidable. It may be somewhat unfair to Morrow, but it also is to the players on the other half of the bracket if so. Feels to me this would be the lesser of the evils, since he should be playing against a "weaker" player in the end.
I think the problem is that if TLO were to win the tourny now, he will have been the only one that got the extra opportunity to play after being knocked out. That's why it's unfair.

Because that's how every major sports tournaments are run. You don't take back an eliminated player. Tennis for instance. If someone gives a walkover you don't take in the player that he beat.

cuz TLO would beat the shit out of you and morrow as well!

Quoting this just as a placeholder for everyone saying stuff like that: what the hell is wrong with you? Giving TLO the win goes against EVERY standard forfeiting rule in place in EVERY tournament I know. If someone forfeits then the player/team the forfeiting player is supposed to play against gets the win.
Tennis allows imo for the best comparison. Tennis player A beats tennis player B then injures himself and can't play in the next round. So now the already beaten tennis player B can play in the next round? Just no, that's not the way it works.
I realize the homestory cup is 99% for fun, but come on know, you shouldn't deviate from very standard rules just because of that. Obviously Morrow should get the win, really no argument there.

True, but it's not quite as free since he actually had to play all 3 games in the end, as opposed to Morrow having to play none at all.

Either way it's fucked so complaining about it seems pointless at best.

This!

Just create a loser's loser's bracket I want to see more Dimaga and this tournament couldn't make less sense as it is.

He should have said "I give my spot to JaeDong" and then flown him in from Korea

Well im not happy with that too, but there is no perfect decision imo. Wonder why BratOk didnt know this before his TLO series.

Yes, he did play 3 games, but he lost, that's the point. No matter what happens with other players, TLO is by the rules, out of the tournament after losing once in the winners bracket and once in the losers bracket.

Lol, now i imagine a series of tag-team starcraft tournys, where they pause midgame and switch players ^^

Sad that they can't postpone so we get BratOk vs Morrow. I was looking forward to that.
