I voted hongun and rain.. easy to win just vote against zergs in later rounds and vote for them in early rounds (if they are good). Should have good win loss ratio.. anyway.. PvP final would be dumb.. even though I am hoping for a protoss to win.. pvp is the worst matchup. PvT would be the best.

Rain didn't deserved the win, but HongUn definitely did

Why? Did he use hacks or cheats? No? Then didn't he win fair and square?

Don't be so self-absorbed to think that pro-gamers have to agree with your idea of what decides a deserved win. Rain did what he needed to win. End of story.

I am actually kind of glad that all the Zerg are out because that means I won't have to listen to Artosis gush. However, I also really like when Jinro plays because then Artosis and I get to be on the same side.
And isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean, all you get is one trick: rational thinking; but, when you're good and crazy, ooohoohoohoohoooo, the sky is the limit!

Because zerg players have this inherent belief that all sc2 is about is long macro games and they can't bring themselves to think that non-zerg players possibly disagree with their "perfect" gamestyle.

ure saying the race that depends on outmacroing their opponents in order to win cant expand as easily as the races they have to outmacro?
Oh dear that seems like proper balance

So terran and protoss should just let zerg macro up like crazy without doing anything about it? You can still macro as zerg if you can handle the harass.

You're missing the damn point. Terran and Protoss have no right to force an early game onto zerg just as zerg has no right to whine that terran and protoss shouldn't attack them early if the zerg is FE.

BTW, zerg doesn't have to macro. I dont know why you think that.

Also, zerg can expand easier than terrand and protoss. Terran and protss have to spend the ealier minerals getting more the production buildings, rax/gates, the zerg uses the minerals getting a hatchery.

What is your solution to this then? make it illegal for protoss and terran to be able to early pressure a zerg FE?

I dont feel like Fruitdealer played to his potential, so aggressive, it was good on shakuras. And he played solid and good on steppes. but the aggression those other two games sucked. And it was so obivous he wouldnt all in the last game. He did some really bad strategy choiches in my opinion.

nestea didn't exactly play amazingly well in the late game either, especially in that lost temple game. he built such a huge lead and almost squandered it. on xelnaga, all he literally had to do was build the spine a bit back and it can hit the bunker without being targeted, or bringing all of his shit forward to snipe the bunker. it was clear that if he hit the mid game, he would have won.

rain has not impressed me at all and it really annoys me that he's in the RO4. i hope hongun completely stomps him.

And that's why he lost. He deserved the loss. I honestly don't see the potential in fruitdealer anymore. He's looking more and more like a one-hit wonder.

Well... The only player who's left that deserves to win is Jinro. Please please Jinro win this whole thing with some amazing macro, it would be a shame if any of these cheesy players left won the GSL.

Really? With Nestea's loss, FruitDealer has clinched top seed in code S. That's not one-hit, that's consistency. If he were a real one-hit wonder, you wouldn't have seen him in all three GSL opens.

FruitDealer: champion -> ro32 -> ro8
Nestea: ro64 -> champion -> ro8

HongUn can get 2nd seed if he wins: ro8 -> ro64 -> champion (2nd seed because he beat Nestea in head to head)

Why? Cuz he's a foreigner? LOL

Why would a "cheesy" player winning the GSL be a shame? Cuz you don't want it? That maybe true for you but don't be so arrogant that you enforce this on a forum. I might just as well state that only early game pressure players, or "cheesy" players, as you so eloquently put it, have the right to win the GSL. And my opinion is just as valid as yours. Shocking isn't it?

Only 3 terran and 3 protoss left. Jinro has a shot! How amazing would it be, hot off the victory at Dallas, to go off and immediately win the GSL?

On a lesser note, there's no chance that a Zerg can win it :D

Not really. If MarineKing wins, he is top seed. What i meant is he won't win the GSL again. Ever.

Because I like exciting games that go over the 10 minute mark, which none of these "cheesy" players can provide. It's also entirely my opinion and I'm not enforcing it on anyone so please calm down.

Alot of MarineKing's games go over 10 minute mark. Or anyone else left for that matter. I don't know if Jinro is that good at macro. Its more like Moon was just bad.

I watched HongUn/FD vods and imo HongUn deserved the win for sure. I'm surprised how agressive FD was. In game 4 with the never ending buildings I was freaking out so hard. Those voidrays probably had 100 kills on them. HongUn will beat Rain next round for sure.

Damn, 141 in the liquibet, I'd like to thank Hongun, without him I wouldn't be where I am today, and on another note, Nestea shoulda won so I could be top 100.

One of the things that can concern me about cheesy players is their long term viability. Rain is on a really good team and it's not like he pulls his SCVs every game so he could one day start practicing more macro oriented builds(he even said he intended to!) or what look like more stable timing pushes and become really good, but in general I'd say I'm disappointed when I see players 1basing or cheesing a lot because I think one day they'll kinda just fall off the face of the earth.

I don't really think of MarineKing as being cheesy. If he is, that's a weird brand of cheese. He's aggressive and is certainly capable of just going all-in, but in general I see him as someone who knows when to lay off the aggression for a moment and expand. Then go back to being aggressive.

Rain DESERVED to win
you guys think SC2 is all about macro games and all, but its about the mix of micro, macro, and all-ins
stop thinking only one-sided -_- micro games are very intensive as well

jeez, not everyone is a macro player
you have those who specialize in timing pushes and all-ins like BBBprime and Rain and you got those who macro macro macro like idra
stop nagging about the matches and appreciate the player's play styles -.-
