grats to hongun. people don't give him enough credit, but he's the only protoss with two ro.8 gsl appearences. both at completely different metagame times.

as for rain. if you had 85k on the line, and were going against a better macro player then you, why wouldn't you all in?

It's pretty interesting how someone like Fruit Dealer doesn't even know the basic build for a 7RR. His roach build on LT seemed far inferior to it. I guess Korean's don't pool information on builds/strats like TL does?

Regarding the cheese discussions even TSL_Rain admitted that he did cheeses because he didn't have time to prepare, so him winning this does not necessarilly mean he's the better player. On a side note, i don't like nestea's style anyhow. My real dissapointment for today was actually FruitDealer. Saying he played badly is an understatement. Going all in in all his matches showed that he was very unconfident against HongUn. It seems that what he said during the 1st GSL still stands, that protoss is his weakest matchup

Man, people keep saying Nestea is the better player because Rain couldn't hang in the late macro but why isn't Rain the better player because Nestea can't handle early pressure?

We've seen both of them show otherwise, but in this case, Rain chose micro. Then, he was able to force Nestea into it and, once there, Rain outplayed Nestea. The better player - today - won.

For all those people whining about Nestea and Fruitdealer losing to what were "worse players," what makes them worse players? Its those who win that are strong, not those who are strong that win. Think about that before posting.

why don't zergs go back to gas before pool before hatchery for instant speed? That seems to counter a marine scv all-in IMO

Wow, only game 4 of fruitdealer/hongun is reccomended.

Sounds like a very dissapointing day. I feel better that I couldn't stay up to watch since i had an early final today. I don't care that the "worse" players won, I at least want some awesome-sauce games to watch after.

Here's hoping for epic matches from jinro at least. ^^

Because zerg players have this inherent belief that all sc2 is about is long macro games and they can't bring themselves to think that non-zerg players possibly disagree with their "perfect" gamestyle.
