Nice!

I was always wondering how Naama would do against the best players in the world while I was watching the Viking cups.

Glad to see he's doing well

There's a bunch of Terrans that have been kicking ass in the Nordic scene and Naama and SjoW have always been the scariest (and MorroW until the power of his Terran obviously dropped when he started practicing Zerg). SjoW has been going far in a few tournaments outside of the Nordic countries and I expected him to win. Nice seeing Naama make a splash :D

Plus it will give more weight to my words when I consider the Nordic when saying that Terran is the best race in both their match ups

"I was always wondering how Naama would do against the best players in the world while I was watching the Viking cups."

So because he beat a Korean player, who cant even qualify for GSL, he is doing well vs best players in the world?

Dude, trolling both Naama and TOP in one post? Get a grip.

So did Tester, Nada and Ensnare - guess they are trash compared to other Korean Pros too?

Point is that there is a mindset in foreign scene that percolates from BroodWar that Koreans are a level above, and you cant even compete with them.

I realise that these guys arent the best in Korea - but they are still progamers, living in the gaming house of one of the best teams - playing for a fulltime job with other pros. To beat them is hugely positive for the foreign scene.

Beating a korean pro is always imrepssive. I personally thought that all-inning would be a mistake, since the koreans play so agressive. They know a lot about all-ins :D.
The best koreans should be able to defend pretty well, but obviously i was wrong in this case.

God you are clueless, since when is Top "one of best Koreans" ... he even fails to qualify for two GSL in a row..for God sake...

He is a pro after all. Maybe he is not good enough to win the GSL but a pro is pro and he showed it before in his games.
If you think only of the top 10, when you say "the best" then thats fine, but Top is not a scrub.
I am not clueless btw

some people are really dumb. THE koreans CUrrently playing sc2 ARE NOT jaedong or flash. THEY ARENT unstoppable. they make mistakes and they lose games too. SO fucking what. Do they have better knowledge of the game? probably. do they practice 10x more ? definitely. in a few years will they be better than everyone else? Hell yes. but NOW they have around the same limited understanding than the rest of the world. ya they probably know more about the game but sc2 has not developed enough yet to allow players like jaedong or flash emerge yet.

and obviously inca and top are not the BEST korean players atm. ya their both fucking amazing from previous GSL's but unless a player like fruitdealer/ nestea/ or IMMVP loses a foreign tournament, we also cant say much yet and even if they lose it should NOT be a big deal

Not really, Tester got Code S allready in first GSL, and done great in pretty much all non GSL smaller korean tournaments, for which players like Top were not even invited.

No, because normally we only use the first verse in pretty much every situation.

Maybe you didn't see it but Naama had an expansion.. People blaming Naama for all ing are pathetic, the majority of the haters would never ever beat TOP even with SCV allins so give Naama some credit

An expo that started way after TOP's was already up and running. Combine that with the fact that he pulled quite a lot of SCV's and you have an all-in. Once again, it was a good and successful all-in that was extremely likely to work with good execution, but if it had been defended he would've been in a 100% losing situation. I'm not ''blaming'' him, I'm pointing out a fact.

the skill gap is not that great in sc2, lossing a bo3 in a big tournament is no upset. People need to respect the winner thought, there are probobly a handful of players that could make it in GSL from both europe and NA, but not everyone have the ability to travel to korea. No need to whine when a korean loses vs a play that does not play on the same stage etc.

Nada, sSKS, July (in season 2) didn't qualify therefore they are bad players?

No. And you are idiot. Try to realize that GSL qualifier has a lot of luck involved.

Whatever the case, despite his loss to Naama (gj to him), a lot of us consider TOP a very.. top pro Korean SC2 player. If you really think he's not skilled at all, fair enough.

I agree

I dont think naama is anything like europe's best terran - but its a really sweet boost for him and the community. Not just the european community - the whole western one.

Tyler taking a PvP game off InCa and a euro taking out TOP must really help foreign gamers in their confidence that koreans are not demi-gods who you shouldnt even consider being able to beat.

Even in BW it was proven that Koreans can be beaten.

It is just that some people are blind to true skill and talent and when they see some Korean they immediately assume he is better than all the foreigners

Say, when was the last time a foreigner won a BoX vs a progamer in BW?

Having oGs in there was awesome tbh, hope to see that more. I tire of seeing the SCVs come in too mind, but I thought the games were fun. Not the best ever, but exciting and good for the scene regardless. Now let's get a Toss winner!

Wait till jaedong and flash switch, then everyone will resume back to the old ways again

Until then, i dont really care, if TOP lost, he lost. He couldb't block the allin which was his game to lose. The oGs clan has been underperforming of late, lets hope they buck up soon though.

Other than that, every liquid memver got knocked out, so lets see what the finals will give..
