People blaming Naama for all ing are pathetic, the majority of the haters would never ever beat TOP even with SCV allins so give Naama some credit

Yeah, he got fairly good results in this tournament. Hopefully the experience will help him in the future.

What a mistake by Top to not gg and let Naama regain his composure, he was clearly stressed, had Top gg'ed quickly I'm sure Naama would have still be "shocked" (that's not the right word but my vocabulary is limited) in game 3.

You play to WIN. You dont play to play the game. No matter how lame it was and how bad it was a WIN is a WIN. Nama now laughs and all you QQers.

Both Koreans didn't look dominant at all in this tournament. They are of course not on the very top of the food-chain, but the important part for the international scene is that they can be taken out and several international players have the skills to do so. In BW, Korea could have sent 2 B-teamers to Dreamhack and they would have won the tournament.
And to call bringing 10SCVs to your attack "all-in" is just wow. He was expanding behind this and there was a constant stream of marines, tanks and vikings coming down from his base. He probably had still 20-30 SCVs mining, and knew he would inflict damage with his push. He was down one base, he needed to attack and bringing SCVs to this attack was the right call.

New game now, time to let go of the last series..
Hope to see mana in the finals. Gogo mana!

People complaining about "all in" are not Terran players and don't understand why it is so important to buffer against incoming tank fire and or repair.

He had enough to support off two bases and he built his second base when he was pushing. How the f*** is that all-in? It was just a good timing push because he knew that once he kept out that initial push from Top, he had a window where Top would be unable to defend a push like that.
And to be fair, Top played not upto his standards in the third game. Losing two marauders and a marine for free. Making a Raven for no reason and then not making use of it. So, yeah, Top was not as invincible as he was made out to be.
So, yeah, in this game Naama outplayed Top. That is not to say Naama is the better player because we all know what Top is capable off. But Jesus, give Naama some fucking credit for knocking out one of the top Korean Pros.
And that is something most fanboys of Koreans will never accept. If a Korean all-in, then that is an amazing strategy, if any other person all-in against Koreans, then that person only knows how to all-in. Wake up people, this is a new game where everybody is starting with a level playing field and in a one-off game anybody can beat anybody. Well put.
It's an awesome tournament, with quite a few wicked players & games.
And finally some Europeans getting a bit of exposure.

Would you go on a long macro game if you know your opponent is better than you in the late game ? Not if you play for the win. Or else you're either too proud or too stupid. It's like saying Nadal was a cheap tennisman back when he counted on his power and stamina. and dont forget, 14k$ are on the line.. so i would give a fuck how i win >_>

Never heard of Naama before this tournament, but he's certainly making a name for himself. The guy all ins with 100% of his SCVs every game. That's like all ining idra and saying you are RO8 material. game 3 was not all in. He knew exactly what Top had, and he knew that if he sent scvs he could take him out. It was not all in at all. Yes, pulling your Scvs is what you can call all-in. All-in = a play that wins you the game or lose you the game. Well apparently Terran got no all in. Thanks to mules a Terran only needs to deal more damage than he would with a usual attack and losing 15-20 SCVs ist even that bad (unless he really loses all his army without killing expos, bases or workers.
Hi. Hello.
If i have played a couple thousand games, and have been in such a situation many times before, and I know I am going to win or at worst, be very ahead. Then yes. I will send the scvs. It is not a do or die move. Its a cement my advantage move.

prolly Fenix will go for the same Banshee build

Can we get back to the game at hand now?

I was always wondering how Naama would do against the best players in the world while I was watching the Viking cups. Glad to see he's doing well There's a bunch of Terrans that have been kicking ass in the Nordic scene and Naama and SjoW have always been the scariest (and MorroW until the power of his Terran obviously dropped when he started practicing Zerg). SjoW has been going far in a few tournaments outside of the Nordic countries and I expected him to win. Nice seeing Naama make a splash :D Plus it will give more weight to my words when I consider the Nordic when saying that Terran is the best race in both their match ups
"I was always wondering how Naama would do against the best players in the world while I was watching the Viking cups."
So because he beat a Korean player, who cant even qualify for GSL, he is doing well vs best players in the world?

I'll take this time among all the flames and balance discussions to heavily congratulate Naama for how far he's gone in this tournament. I remember back in 08 when I first started to notice this player with great skill and potential of playing well games of Warcraft 3. Now he's gone this far in one of Europes biggest tournaments and its probably his biggest achievement in his life. All in or whatever. He played well. He managed the stress. He fought against his nerves and he won against an experienced Korean pro player. This is fucking huge. Well done Naama. You deserve every ounce of that victory.

Oh yeah. Let's just be good sportsmen and let all the games be AWESOME!
Ofcourse not. They're competitors. He calculated, that due to his later expansion, and his scvs, he would have enough to break TOP. What would you want him to do? Sit back, macro, and gain a worse and worse shot of winning, as TOPs expo gets saturated before his?

Not just the european community - the whole western one. Tyler taking a PvP game off InCa and a euro taking out TOP must really help foreign gamers in their confidence that koreans are not demi-gods who you shouldnt even consider being able to beat.
Even in BW it was proven that Koreans can be beaten.
It is just that some people are blind to true skill and talent and when they see some Korean they immediately assume he is better than all the foreigners
