Yes it costs more gas, but he had stalkers and a few zealots tanking so he never lost the sentries or vrs. It's clearly possible to sustain a VR + sentry army. Kiwi showed us that. Not to say you are wrong or anything.. I just find it ironic you reference Kiwi when Junwi was the guy who knocked Kiwi out of the qualifiers.

Also imagine how flustered the zerg player must've been seeing that strategy. In that situation you think about unit compositions first and miss a lot of obvious plays. edit - I'm curious. The zerg also made the mistake of not scouting his 3rd base. If he had done so correctly, cannons would not have gone up. I wonder how the game would've panned out if the zerg scouted the cannons. 1 extra base makes a world of difference.

Are you aware that GuineaPig scouted at least twice after the initial Probe scout? He was making sure that Junwi wasn't going roaches and even if he did, he would have been completely fine. He was floating a lot of minerals by not making gateways so defending with cannons would have been easy. I think Spire is the only way to counter this, or at least compete (If your 3rd is denied so much times that is)

and today we have the guy who defeated kiwi and he lost to this build. Kinda wish Kiwi had figured this build earlier. Although i heard in the root warzone stream earlier that David Kim was in contact with CatZ and asking him whether CatZ had problem with mass protoss air. I hope nothing happen yet cos it seems everytime Protoss has some cool stuff, they got nerfed too fast. It's good to see some variation.

But i don't think that cannons alone could have stopped roaches, especially if started right before the attack. Who knows, i doubt that we will ever see this strat again in this GSL. His scouting, you must understand was at about the time a roach warren should be going up/almost completed. This, and given the very long rush distance he had enough to prepare cannons. You'd be surprised how well cannons do when roaches are forced into a choke, that & high ground cannons would make it pretty much unbreakable. It was a well thought out build, esp for the map.

Out of the part 2 matches for today, which match is gonna be the most exciting and what are the best players. (Cause I'm thinking about skipping it and just sleeping until July Zerg).

All 4 matches look pretty good, I wouldn't skip any of them. But, if I had to pick one, I'd say oGsMC vs. OdinMvP, not too many PvT in ro64, and I think OdinMvP could upset MC.
