This is true. They did what, 3 THOUSAND damage INSTANTLY. I moarn for protoss. Truelly, an Elder race should have evolved more than lowly and young Terrans. I didnt saw 30 Ghosts... 1 EMP => -100 shields -100 sheild times 30 units? Yeah 1 ghost can do about 2.5-3k damage with the new clumping. Actually just like 1.5k - but thats still too much. Then learn how to spread out your units like Terran have to do against Banelings? baneling/zergling vs marines is melee vs ranged, when you spread out you're still doing most of your dps, especially when you consider the marines attack animation. spreading out p units in such a way vs a bio ball will cut the p dps incredibly while allowing the ball to focus the units a few at a time. its not the same situation. Chargelots do pretty good against EMP tbh

ALL the gateway-units with the first push; he did a great job there not letting nexgenius macro a colossus-force that would've pretty much one-shotted all of his bio-army; the ghosts with EMP afterwards was basicly just clean-up

Don't think Hopetorture deserved his win here and can't understand people praising his play - he didn't make any gross mistakes but in situations where neither player does, he loses. His BW progaming experience is what helps gets him through IMO, as a player he hasn't done anything outstanding recently. Are you seriously comparing TL opens with GSL? Jesus.... And yeah, you cant say he is best, bust by results, he is now most consistant player in GSL. Will be really interesting to see him vs new hot shot Foxer, they have diferent styles, wondering which one will prevail. Both have alot of reasons to win, beside great money on line, ITR for back to back finals, and Foxer for continuing his great run, of beating awesome players this GSL.

Actually if you watched the panel, they said that the Terran >> Protoss until the late game was a PROBLEM, and that they wanted to fix it. Not exactly. The late game is still a problem because then, Protoss >> Terran. So.. Early game - T > P Mid game - T = P Late game - P > T

Game 4 was mid-late game, but no HTs were out yet - another 2-3 mins would have been late game. I dont understand why blizz wants to maintain a T>>P early game and P>T late game stance. Why dont they make it so that either race has a chance to take it early game or late game. Wouldnt that lead to more exciting games between back and forth advances, rather than terran racing to finish toss off as soon as possible? Still moaning the lack of protoss in the GSL. No, they said that's how the view the MU at the moment. They specifically said they don't want it to be like that. Three Terrans and a Zerg. Ugh... I'll watch, but I'm not really that excited. if you're not excited about Boxer or Nada, you're not excited about Starcraft Or I have a different opinion than everyone else. I didn't come to Starcraft 2 from Brood War, so Boxer and Nada don't mean much to me. I prefer mixed matchups instead of mirror matchups regardless of who is playing. And please don't flame me because I'm a "noob" fan or whatever. If non-mirror matchups is all it takes for you to get excited about a game then I have good news for you, there are plenty of gold and above tourneys that should be right up your alley.

To everyone whining about EMP and making absurd assumptions about how much damage it does, you realize zealots, stalkers and sentries don't even have 100 shields to begin with right?

It's not too different and it can be solved by doing the same as terrans have to do versus the spells of the other races (i.e. spread out...). Quite different since the entire damage is upfront and can be cast at 10 range. Storm takes 4 seconds to do all its damage

Except in both cases, microing can happen after the banelings roll on screen or after the storm hits. You don't see many Terrans spreading beforehand to avoid storms, and considering the T1 units accompanying ghosts are all ranged, it makes spreading your army beforehand incredibly ineffective.

He's definitely doesn't understand the game enough to cast GSL well, but neither does Tasteless Day9 is a self-absorbed commentator who operates better alone in his echo chamber with his fans IMO the best commentator team would be Artosis doing color and analysis paired with a very solid play by play guy, but unfortunately Jason Lee has a much better job at Arirang Have to agree with you on that one. If however Artosis needs Tasteless to be there to be at 100%, then it might be detrimental to pair him up with someone else. Hopefully this isn't the case... or hopefully Tasteless picks up his game a bit.
