When money is on the line, you have to do what you can to get a win. And hyperdub did just that.

Good luck to TLO and other foreigners in season 2. And, there are still many awesome players left in season one.

Mixing up your builds, cheese as some will call it, is part of winning series. There is no reason to be upset with Hyperdub. Dario played great and will show what he is capable of next time. That's always been an axiom of e-sports. Players can do and will do whatever they need to win, everything else is irrelevant. It's a shame so many people have trouble understanding it. Also one has to admit .. that the cheese in game 3 wasnt that surprising .... I atleast would have taken the possibility serious.. and scouted my stupid Nat. Hyperdub played well and won the mindgame in game 3... Well I still wish TLO would have advanced though. If I were TLO I might have gone for a cheese in game 2 ![]() Edit. Dont forget the proxy banshee in game 1 ... ![]()

Nevertheless, a lot of respect to TLO! First tournament in korea, a very stressful situation because of the move to another country so far away, then getting chicken pox and having the huge pressure because he's last man standing....and then this awesome epic game 1! RESPECT Dario!!! <3

Seems rather extreme for something that could easily be a technical error or miscommunication between two sets of people who dont speak the same language.

Third game he should have definitely scouted this location, especially since his scout was relatively late. He learned from it and won't make that mistake again which is positive in the long run. He was also a little late with pulling back his marines, his two marines died before he could bring his scvs (at least that's what I saw from the blurry stream). He could have defended the rush with 2 marines and 15 scvs but not with scvs alone. So overall, it was his fault that he lost, not hyperdub's. And as to why he scouted 12 first, I'm quite sure he had a different build planned if they had been on spots where drops and flying units are much stronger, that's why he checked if he had to adjust his timings.

TLO has a LOT of fans, and even if the hate is "unreasonable", TLO was the reason a lot of people were bothering to watch this tourney. He has a lot of followers, and most of them are pissed that he lost to cheese. The hate is perfectly understandable, even if it is "unreasonable". Just let them vent for a while, they'll be back for the next GSL. it makes TL look retarded when we have a bunch of people crying "WTF stupid korean cheesers, you don't deserve to win". people need to quit whining about cheese and accept that it is a part of the game.

Helions did nothing for TLO, it really showcased how fragile they are vs a high lvl player. His early game suffered because of his love for helions in all 3 games... But yah, that first game was just one of the most memorable I've seen in SC2.

I also lose a lot of my PvZs because I go gate > core > FE and lose to an all in roach push, baneling bust, of 6 pool. Cheese happens everywhere. Stop crying that someone you'll never meet lost in a tournament you'll never play. Calling me a bad player. GG. Obviously we're discussing players much better than ourselves. I just consider cheesing (and this is obviously just an opinion) to be bad sportsmanship, and an act of desperation by players who don't deserve to be where they are. There's no resource management. No risk assessment, no cost benefit analysis (something TLO is pretty genius at) and it's just a basic attempt to turn a STRATEGY game into a round of counter-strike with an AWP. Sure it's all about the money, and I know these guys are doing it for their living. But the koreans also shun poor sportmanship following a win or a loss, but don't care about how they get to that win or loss? It's akin to the kamikaze attacks of WWII, the burning of Dresdin, or the attack against pearl harbor (obviously these are tactical analogies, not relating a video game to war!) No honor in such tactics. User was temp banned for this post.

He's quite literally won no tournaments in beta or post release. People throw around the word "creative" way too much when referring to him too. When other people do unorthodox builds, they're instantly labeled noob, but when TLO does it he's some sort of genius. Hyperdub outplayed him in game 1 and dominated him in game 2. If it wasn't for one mistake in game 1, hyperdub would have won 2-0. Really now? Are you serious or trolling? * 2nd place, TeamLiquid SC2 Invitational 1 * 1st place, Go4SC2 ESL Cup #7 * 1st place, Go4SC2 ESL Cup #11 * 1st place, Zotac Cup #12 * 2nd place, PLU.cn Kaspersky Cup * 4th place, Altitude TL Invitational * 4th place, HDH Invitational That's pretty fucking impressive. LOL@ fourth place in Altitude. You should go check out more info about the tournament ![]()

TLO remains a player of honor, the first martyr of the GSL, and shalth verily return to rape this unworthy peon in the next GSL season. <3 TLO A player of honor? Have you watched the showmatch series between TLO and DimagA? I'm a big TLO fan myself, but that doesn't mean I hate on anyone who "outplays" TLO. TLO made the first critical mistake of not properly scouting his natural, nevermind that he didn't scout in the right direction on Metalopolis. When scouting you always try for the most economical scout. If you are in close positions, that is when you need to be able to react the fastest, what good would it be if you were in close positions and you found that out by a process of elimination? It would be too late. Scouting the main to his back would only be helpful if you expect drops/banshees which come much later. Reapers in TvT aren't really a huge problem (like in ZvT) since marines take care of Reapers and come out before Reapers do anyway. Let me say this again... TLO was "outplayed" in game 3. Hyperdub took a very large risk by having his barracks so close. To be honest, had he kept the barracks in his base or at his natural, he would still have won the game since TLO scouted it last. The time the SCV spent at TLO's natural waiting for 150 minerals was plenty of time for that SCV to return home and start on the Barracks at the main/natural.

You get tunnel vision on intense macro games and then all of the sudden it's a rush. That's the kind of unpredictability/cheese all great players should have in their arsenal. now that iv cooled down a bit i agree with this statement, it was a fairly good play and not just a hopeful 'uh crap if I play standard ill lose' play (since he already beat TLO standard game 2) Still.. Very surprised they didnt stream a interview of the last foriegner whom they knew had alot of support. Extremely Dissapointed.
