Inca responded that he wouldn't have done it if he hadn't won the first game. He only did it because the first game was such a long hard win and he was fairly exhausted from the match.

If you go for stalkers the 2gate will crush you anyways by just outmacro'ing you. By going 2gate to counter the 2gate then you will be very vulnerable to canons. The best possible way is to actually kill the probe and after that the pylon in the base. But by the time you are able to do that you'll take quite some losses but if u haven't lost too many units to this then you're ahead in tech else you're even or far behind. Such a well thought cheese build lol. it all came down to micro in that fight. if i'm not wrong the probe was only 1 attack away from getting killed which would have changed the tide completely

A: I hadn't planned on cannon rushing if I had won easily on the first map. But because it was such a close game and I had kind of a hard time, I figured I would just go for an easy win and cannon rush.

But seeing he was able to have vision already on the base due to a pylon being warped in he could have just run aroudn the base with his pylon and let his canons do the rest for a while and make pylons if his vision of the base is goign to get away. A probe still outruns a zealot by a tiny margin (without queuing waypoints).

He had 2 cannons on the low ground and his pylon on the high ground was over 50% complete, giving vision of the high ground EVEN if the probe died. He needed to kill it before it placed buildings on the high ground.

That was soooo fun to watch, and I think it was actually kinda close because that Probe almost died ![]()

Cannon rushes are pretty hard to stop in PvP if you're not expecting it, especially on a cannon friendly 4 player map like Metalopolis. Have you people who for some reason assume no Platinum+ players lose to cannon rush even been cannon rushed by a good player? -_- Inca had a recent history of triple proxy gating in Ro64, that surely had an effect on ZanDarke since 2 gate would be the right response if it were proxy gates but lose vs a cannon rush, especially such a well executed one. Inca has a knack for creating exciting games, awesome player even though I despise PvP.

Cos Zandarke had a probe in Inca's main although that'd take a long time hmmm I think if this sort of cannon rush becomes more standard, the counter would be to put a patroling probe at the bottom of your ramp like zerg players do until you figure out exactly what was proxied.
