Many of you are very curious about your bandwidth check result.
We can explain how the bandwidth check works on GOMtv.net
Your result shows the internet connection between your computer and our server. Even though you have a very high internet connection in your area,
if you are located in where far from our server, the result would be low.
GOMtv.net server is located in the west of the US and if you stay in Europe or other country, you might have limited speed.
That is why we recommend you do bandwidth check before watching live broadcasting or purchasing the ticket.
We are trying hard to provide better service and sorry for inconvenience this issue may cause.
We will keep up the posting to make you better understand our service.
Thank you.
edit; wow is this for real? I mean, is the present bandwidth check the definitive one? + Show Spoiler + I got less than 200k yesterday
|
wtf? yesterday I got around 200 as well, today I get 2298Kbps.

w00t, monopoly rocks. all those people cursing kespa must be biting their tongues right now. Seriously, who didn't see this coming? Gretech actually said they were going to stream for free at the start..
|
well this is laughable. i'm lucky enough to watch it in korea and avoid fees i believe. OGN seems to state that they will be showing the GSL, but we'll see come tomorrow. considering Avertec-Intel Classic used to be free, and now they're all of a sudden charging a ridiculous price for a stream AND vods...well let's just say i'm skeptical about blizzard's goals now. i don't think it's gom's fault so much as blizzard...they're just trying to dump everything on them so they still look like the good guys.
|
My bandwidth tripled since yesterday according to their checker, definitely a step in the right direction... though I don't understand their need to have their own dedicated server when they say money is so tight and other options are clearly viable...

GOM-o-Vision live at GLHF.tv

I had less than 200K yesterday and now I'm on 5000K... weird.

Is someone able to access the ticket purchase page? Seems like it is temporarily not available.

Yeah, let's cross fingers
|
Well the fact that it seems there will be no problem viewing the HQ stream most likely assures that there will be no further lowering of the price or anything like a free stream.
|
lol I got 11111kbps today like 150kbps yesterday. Seems they have just changed servers! haha Maybe it MIGHT be worth buying the stream but the VODs should be free. if not I will screen cap them and put them on my youtube account

You do know that there's a high chance your youtube account will get banned for copyright infringement if you do that right? Really appreciate the generosity though. :D

I'm sure Youtube would just suspend my account and tell me to remove them. But they will be online for a little while. If I had my site up and running still (Might put it back online in a few days here anyways) I could upload the videos there for people to download
|
Yea, I would say they updated the server a bit (or just waaaaaay fewer people looking). Was at around 1k yesterday, and am presently at 14.3k.

Seriously, if you want to support e-sports, better buy 4 T-shirts from http://thehandsomenerd.com/ At least you know where are your money going.

Is it true that the streams wont be accessable for mac users?
I know u're thinking ("who cares about mac users") but 4 of the 7 ppl i know in real life playing sc2 are playing on a mac. I really would be curious about the ratio.

Yeah the gomplayer doesn't work on the mac. You'll have to use bootcamp if you wanna use it on a mac.
