FWIW I'd be happy to pay for a vod ticket but $30 for 1 ro64 tournament is too high. I'd be willing to even pay $10. The problem isn't paying, it's the price. I didn't notice it before but the 1 day live stream ticket is now 2 dollars for 3. For "pre-season discount." Or maybe it was always this.

Gretech is running a tournament each month untill the end of 2011. Not every tournament is the same but they did say cash purses will be similar each month. What I know is that over 1 Billion won is being committed for 2011.

This is just as stupid as the MSL finals couple of seasons ago when they decided to put the players in a different room, except there's like 10x more at stake here. It's pretty clear the foreign masses are not ready to pay for watching sc2 and it's not going to attract any new viewers that's for sure. I hope blizz/gom come to their senses and have the balls to reverse their decision. People are willing to pay. there just not willing to pay a redic ammount. Should be free/premium. and the premium should not cost $20/30

I'm not willing to play and I definitely am a fan with the capability to pay... and I'm not even alone =P Almost no one will pay. If only ~200 people on TeamLiquid are willing to pay, I can't imagine the total payers to be more than 250. Assuming a reasonable 30.000 - 50.000 potential viewers, with 2 dollars for premium stream they might have like 5000(probably even more for so cheap) viewers. 10k$ vs an average of maybe ~8k$, all the while making the people watching much more happy

I am so dissapointed. I didn´t expect a pay to watch for this tournament, specially when they didn´t in the past with the Averatec Intell Classic. I was so eager to watch Tasteless again in action.

Is it so hard to believe that GOM is deep in debt because of investments and they need paid viewership to pay some of it off? I'm not saying that GOM's mistake should be our burden, but some of you make it sound like they're trying to squeeze extra dollars out of an already profitable business. And also, I think a lot of you have been spoiled by free streams. I bet that an equal amount of criticism would have been levied if the cost was less, say $10 per season.

especially considering sc2 isnt NEARLY as close to the perfection that bw had achieved over the last decade. fuck you Blizzard. fuck you GOM. fuck you Gretech. just leave bw alone and release these vods for free!
